"Nei Zai Mei" vs "Wai Zai Mei"

actually this topic, if asked anyone in the streets, they will say it's the inner self that pple they will admire, I can tell u, at least 80% of the pple will say that... But if there's anyone who comes up and tells u that ur other half is not chio or yandao physically, would u admit it?? MOreover, if u r to admit ur other half is not chio or yandao, wat effects will it have on urself. Will his/her position in ur heart be shift down?? Furthermore, if ur partner is ard, do u dare to tell the person who comes up to u, that ur other half is not chio or yandao?? will ur love or his/her love change after this encounter?
In addition, if we were to break it down in to different age groups I think we will have a range of answers. For teenagers, we which we have all been thru or we are in, we will realise that many times, it's basically physically attraction that we have for each other. becoz during this stage our emotions start to develope faster than our mind can develope. hence, we do not really know wat is to love.
As we grow older, our mental developement starts to catch up wif our emotions, hence we will be more rational at love. and will know wat is more important, as in Nei Zhai Mei and Wai Zhai Mei.

I'll like to choose Nei Zhai Mei because external beauty cannot lasts forever. Then again, the opposite party cannot look so unpresentable until people see already also want to puke that kind.
Have to be at least ok looking and have a good character. For that I think I'm kind of bias. I can't help it, I've been conditioned since I was young. Still, there will be many others who are willing to look deep into a person's inner beauty than take them at their face value. It also helps with the guy's got deep pockets. Don't laugh, some rich people are so "ugly" looking and they still have beautiful ladies hanging around them.... -
I would be looking at a 80% internal beauty factor vs a 20% external beauty factor. Be realistic. Most people, given the choice would like to have the best of both worlds. But some would settle for a little bit less. That would be what I mean by 80:20 ratio.

1st look confirm WAI ZAI MEI lar, no need to say one, all humans do that........ both ger and guys......... subsequently then start slowly discover the NEI ZAI MEI.

I beg a difference... coz there are pple out there who hit off from friendships. hence they nei zai mei was between them... Maybe they just din know that they are in love and care for each other since they are already so close. but I do agree, many situation arises from the outside to the inside..

"wai zai mei" is definitely important... coz no matter how long u noe that person.. if he/she doesn't attract u physically, no matter how well u noe him, u also wun really wanna think of being together wif him one mah... the most u both can go is wat pple will normally ans is "we r good franz mah"... r u gonna say ok lor.. i dun mind being together?? no wat.. so??

i totally agreed with kofguy. 9 out of 10 pple r attracted to another person physically.but onli 3 out of these 9 pple will realli appreciate the inner beauty of their partner.
some pple juz find steads dat r chio/yandao so dat they can "show them off" to their frens,showing dat they r capable of finding such steads!
true luv is actually abt appreciating the inner beauty of ur partner n accepting wat ur partner is.but i had to admit dat outer beauty is oso impt,coz u had to face ur partner most of the time,thus,ur partner had to be quite presentable rite?? -
i will b lying if i sae nei zai mei. so here's the truth! mostly will b attracted to outer beauty. it's only when we realli get to noe tat person b4 we noe of tat person's flaws n flairs.

If u have no "wai zai mei" - make sure u have a extroverted personality to make up for ur lack in "wai zai"
Otherwise, u might see urself often neglected or even octracised by pple!
Funny thing is beautiful pple naturally tend to develop attractive personalities (they are usually happier, more fun to hang out with, know how to present themselves) because society embraces them even though they have done nothing to procure their looks. As for their character flaws, some pple actually condone them more easily than they do for the not-so-beautiful. Perhaps, that's why the so-called "dao" chio boo, or the egoistic playboys still thrive around us...
in fast-paced life of s'pore , pple don't have much time to understand one another for a long time (unlike kampong days) Definitely "wai zai" gives anyone an edge, after all, whether someone wants to be good or bad (to have "nei zai") is up to their individual decision. -
but i find that nowadays most "chio bus" a bit of a turn-off to me...mayb u might sae that i m jealous or watsoeva,but i find the "chio bus" around me behaving like that
