my apologies, i meant this to be sorta like a help/support, discussion thread on any disorders or illnesses that are related to the mind.Originally posted by FeowFeow:Dear Coffee/Tea,
Do you have anything specific in mind? It's difficult to talk about such general topics unless you want us to do a thesis on them

Maybe you can try this forum out? http://www.sgforums.com/?action=forum_display&forum_id=2215Originally posted by coffeeortea:let us discuss Mental Health Issues here, be it self-injury, depression, mood swings, eating disorders, and all that jazz.
i dont really see how this could trigger something offensive and such, but i do respect your concerns, if need be, lock this thread upOriginally posted by Devil1976:Maybe you can try this forum out? http://www.sgforums.com/?action=forum_display&forum_id=2215
I think it's really not that wise for people to just CHUNK in 'INFORMATION' and SPECTACULATE on such 'sensitive' topics...?![]()
Thesis? SPARE ME!!!Originally posted by FeowFeow:Dear Coffee/Tea,

thesis is easy, you just need to make your stand, and it becomes a thesis.Originally posted by laosu:Thesis? SPARE ME!!!
Although I often write long post...but I don't think I need a thesis
i encourage u to read this book "WARNING: Psychiatry Can Be Hazardous to Your Mental Health" by Dr William Glasser for your bf...or ur bf can read himself.Originally posted by kikq:really dont know where to start, i probably shouldnt share anything cos i dont want to embarrass my bf
what do you mean? i think that it is alright to discuss about this.Originally posted by skid:then why bother bringing it up?
my bad, i didnt realise you were referring to post above yoursOriginally posted by skid:then why bother bringing it up?
I don't mean that this thread would trigger anything offensive, but rather... Many people who read about wildfully through the post might just start to IMAGINE or 'SUSPECT' that they have 'depression' or this... Or that... Which ain't really healthy thoughts... Especially when they're not having it (or even if they're having it)... Without more professional guidance, they might just be wandering off into some SILLY THOUGHTSOriginally posted by coffeeortea:i dont really see how this could trigger something offensive and such, but i do respect your concerns, if need be, lock this thread up![]()

I'm okay with support group threads... With diagnostic threads, pls refer to the link I've previously posted... ROAD Health CenterOriginally posted by FeowFeow:Agreed.
Another concern of mine is that people who DO have symptoms described in our posts may be tempted to "self-diagnose" without consulting a professional doctor who is able to prescribe the necessary medication & who can give the proper diagnosis.
Perhaps having a thread as a "support group" for people with mental illnesses may be a better option?

dunno...you've been so moody lately. would u like to share your problems in this thread?Originally posted by skid:then why bother bringing it up?
thanks for the suggestion. he's actually very understanding. one of the few ppl who always support me. every psycho should have someone like himOriginally posted by pqr:i encourage u to read this book "WARNING: Psychiatry Can Be Hazardous to Your Mental Health" by Dr William Glasser for your bf...or ur bf can read himself.
ahh, now i see the concern that you address. i guess i shoulda used a different title then, since my main aim was to use this thread as a sharing session and etc.. and for people who have experienced or recovered from things such as self-injury, or eating disorders and such to advise and share their experience and stuff.Originally posted by Devil1976:I don't mean that this thread would trigger anything offensive, but rather... I wouldn't support that idea of starting a support group. Support groups are groups of people that have been attending consultations from professionals. This forum have too many "outsiders" which might inflict a wrong idea if not careful.Originally posted by FeowFeow:Agreed.
