Is waiting a fool's game? (for love)

Hi all, new here
Just wanna post something that has been on my mind for very long time, but dont really have the guts to. ( dont really know if this topic was created before, i apologise if i did a repeat thread)
Just a general statement, is waiting a fool's game (for love).
I know that in my case, I always have been waiting for the girl to accept me. Despite waiting for ages (sec1 - sec 2 End of year ) , all i Got was a negative reply. I put in the effort and time to woo the girl, but still , i guess i dont make the cut. Although the girl said NO to me once before, i continued to woo her still , thinking i can melt her heart.
But, then i asked again after another year, but this time i just realised that she has a boyfriend, so i discontinued my "waiting game". It was devastating, i was totally crushed and felt so lost. I wandered aimlessly in msn, games and all around thinking that this shouldnt be happening.
But i got back on my feet and widened my social circle (I only have a few close friends with me back then), I got to know this girl through IRC (same school) and she is supposedly to be the smart,nice,sweet, girl next door.
Half a year later (sec 3 mid year) , I found that we have common interests and stuffs so I decided to try my luck and began the "wooing process". I admit, i pestered her aimlessly on msn and smses. I told her I would wait for her, which took another half a year , and still we kept in contact and I still waited and waited and waited. But in the end, she gave me a reason to why cannot accept me, all due to studies. I was crushed yet once more, how many times God wanna test me? I asked myself whether is it because of my looks and character?
Then now, I'm in a poly, which i wont disclose, I just recently found interest in another girl (same class) , though she hinted to me many times that I do not stand a chance, I'm still determined to woo her. tell me, is history going to repeat itself and me... am I a fool, for this waiting game? -
seriously man, jus think of the amount of gals u can woo during this waiting season. That will solve yur Q

Thanks for the prompt reply. I know I can woo others girls, but I daresay I'm the sort who is dedicated and all, so yeah its quite hard really. Not that many interesting girls i have met can capture my heart so much. Yet, that is why i chose to wait... and in the end... the result i get is so.... haha same man, i'm one dedicated 2. BUt after so much waiting, i began to lessen my expectations and stuff. I suggest jus get over them, let fate decides your destiny. Don wait for gals, wait for the cupid = )

Well i think start frm friends is the best. At least the chances is higher. Besides they can really understand u v well. Woo someone who wil appreciate your efforts. THose who don give a damn, don bother.

Well...you can chase her but if she doesn't respond after a while, it is wise to move on. Its really nice to see people dedicated and all, it beats people who go around hankering after girls like 23/7. I just feel the this waiting game is so... Unfair. But hey, life is unfair but why make the waiting game as unfair as life?

I waited a gal for a year and no progress 2 so i gave up. Ya it's a unfair world, but treat this as a test to move on. IF we are considered unfair then wat abt those handicapped ppl? It's a test.

The world is a big place , yups I'm glad i met lotsa people and have great friends around me. But sometimes friends just cant subsitute the "love feeling".

I consider guys waiting for girls a rare species though FBI, not because I'm one of them, but seriously, its really motivational in a way. Handicapped people are off topic =p. But yeah its really a good test. Cause its giving me what a typical test is suppose to give... Lotsa stress and loads of effort. Some friends can become something more, but there are some who will always remain friends. Kinda like what happened with me and my ex-crush. Yups, lol coincidences or what? The 1st girl i like, is now like my closest girl friend. I tried already, but she didnt exactly say no, or say yes. just a little in between, so now im trying hard. But i abstained from clicking her MSN contact or smsing for fear of no replies or "sweet,short" replies. The trying part is the tough one, I will persevere! -
