I was in your situation , my advise is really give her time , it is worth it. Whether she likes you or not can be easily tested out . Juz be the Man , she will definitely choose you eventually. It doesn't matter whether she likes you now or not, she probably cannot figure out now. What is important is wad is the thing in you that is worth her time ? -
If she doesn't pull away when you hold her, etcetc , it means she's comfortable with you, she enjoys your attention, and she somewhat likes you. That's good news.
The trickier thing is speculating about her motives. Is she the type who is affectionate only to a partner / potential partner? Or is she the type who engages in no-strings-attached physical affection? She could just be enjoying herself now with no intention to commit to a relationship. -

From the posting above shows that you have already started to chase her even when she says she wants to go slow and you are already using steps to test her feelings for you.
Just do what you need to do but life is not that simple ...

I suggest u stop talking to her unless it's something really important cos she will have a low chance of liking you. You made 2 bad moves on ur part.
1st, u were too fast on her and even admitted that u like her. This actually frightens her. U shd not admit that u like her. This actually turns her off. Control urself. If she likes u she will let u know. Let her make the first move. By doing so, u actually make urself look weak cos it seems u are desperate for her.
2nd, She has already told u she jus got out of a bad relationship etc... What she is trying to tell u is that she doesnt consider u as a potential bf. Yes, get it! A gal who is interested in u will not give such an excuse. Yet u still persist to go out with her and even hold her arms! Dude, play it cool. All her actions show she jus treats u as a friend.
So, dun contact her anymore for at least 2 weeks and see if she does contact u for a date. If so, it shows some level of interest from her. If she doesnt, well i hope u get the idea unless u like to get hurt and confused by her again. -

The reason that why she still smsed you or MSN you even when you admitted to her that you like her is that she is feeling lonely as she had just breakup with her bf. Maybe, she is used to ppl showering TLC.
The reason why she let you hold her hands may be due to the fact that if she pushed your hands away suddenly, both of you might be in a awkward situation later. So, she pretended to sleep to ease the situation and see how it went.
Hmm... even if you dun contact her for 2 weeks and she takes the first move to contact you, it doesn't mean anything at all. She may be treating you as a friend. She may feel strange that the person who gives her so much attention suddenly MIA. Anybody in the sane mind would call up the person to find out how the person is doing.

Well just be complacent, do not have too much hope or expectation thus creating delusion or have allusion about it. She is definitely confused however does not necessary mean acceptance in any ways. These days even a kiss or hug does not mean anything much unless its from the heart. Game of Love is not an easy game, do not play it if you are not game enough. Damages are irrecoverable. Thats my personal perspective of your issue does not represent the masses of coz.
