Should I transfer course?

I am currently a Year 1 student taking a Diploma in Information Technology. My school is offering us to transfer course. The application period is from 24 January to 27 January 2006.
When I first choose the courses during JAE, I was already confused. I am interested in both science and technology, but my grades aren't good enough to enter the science courses. So I choose Information Technology over science.
Now the school is offering us to transfer course and I have the met the requirements, which is:
Accumulating a GPA of at least 2.5 (I scored 3.4)
My interest in science is still very strong and so is my interest in IT.
What should I do? -
flip a coin, since either sounds good to you. if you insist on choosing one side, and when you get stressed about school work etc, you will regret and hate yrself.. which may happen either choice u made. y not u flip a coin, and when u regret juz blame the damm coin. lol.
do note dat IT and sciences have some parts dat crosses over. -

when you said science, what does it actually refer to?
can give some example of the modules? -
Specifically genetics and microbiology. I have no preference over both. Both of these courses are offered under the same diploma, which is Diploma in Biomedical Sciences.Originally posted by thoreldan:when you said science, what does it actually refer to?

choose the 1 tat ur interest is stronger, so next time u work, u can find jobs that u like working.

you alread stabilised in IT. ur GPA quite good. So if u transfer to science, its a risk.

I think you should consider the job market before you decide if you should switch.

I would have considered the job market as 1 factor and the speciality of the course as another. for example, if you study nursing, other than nursing as a carrer your avenue is limited.Originally posted by pqr:job market can change..

It is only in Year 2 that we start studying the courses that are related to our diplomas. -
Got consider, but job market keeps changing. A few years ago, IT market saturated and no jobs. Last year, saw a lot of companies advertising IT jobs. Also thinking whether will the biomedical sciences market be saturated by then. Too hard to predict.

Wads yr L1r4 and L1r5 ?
If u gd in sci den go for sci bah..if mths den ,i suppose IT better

since you are already stable in your IT course...den why would you wanna spend another year doing another course?
lets say you gonna transfer course...you have to start studying like a year one...again..and the whole process starts again...its quite a waste of time liao...
so while others are doing 3 yrs course(which is quite long already)...you have to do a 4 yrs course...which consumes alot of time...
plus you have to start making frens in your class again...and you have the risk of not doing well for your bio med course...
personally...i tink IT is very broad...what i learn in my IT course...i feel can go onto many commercial area...so its pretty good...
den again...what you study might not be what your career will be in the future...so think about it...
