1. stay in 1 of the top 5 JCs ie (JC must offer IP). ACJC is a bit shaky so don't risk and go there.
2. stay in science stream (optional if in you're in 1 of top 5 JCs, but very compulsory if not in top 5)
don't worry so much.
the brand of your JC will come in handy when you go job interview -

p.s. guy here so pls take into account of NS....
too... end up he couldnt cope with his studies and eventually lost interest in them, just as you did. and similarly, he hestitated to go to poly coz of his ego... but his tutors eventually persuaded him to.. he had supportive parents... and guess what? he's like one of the top straight A students in his course now and most likely to go uni after poly lah...
