U already make it to JC2 u should continue.
Arts subjects like Econs, Geog, Lit, History- harder to score unlike Sc. & Maths, u have to write tonnes of essays.
It is very common to fail but don't be discourage, the actual "A' level isn't so bad as the prelims.
Make a point to study in sch. so u can consult your tutors more.
Some teachers are very helpful.
Form a study group if u have problems studying alone. U & your friends can 'test' each other. Set a timetable & make sure u stick to it.
Very impt to study 2- 3 hrs consistently & do your 10-yrs series. Also try & get guide books for Lit.
If u have friends in the better jcs, u can try & borrow their notes cos I know a lot of their teachers 'feed' them. -
Study is fun.. enjoy.. meet ppl. Socialise.. no stress. Minimum.
Wait till u work.. anytime u kana fired. Everyday see the same tulan ppl at office. Social circle becoming smaller. Stress... stress at work.. stress at home coz no time to go binge drinking. Everyday u do the same thing.. if u are factory worker e.g .. imagine u are the one that screw the caps on the can everyday 9 hours 6 days a week.24 Days a month , 288 days a year n times that till the day u decide to kill urself . -

I have known of people going poly after A levels + NS... whats one year difference? if you're doing something you're happy with, i guess one year's no big deal, it's definately worth it....i dont see any loss of ego transfering from JC to a poly...

there's another alternative if u wanna study business...
work hard for your A levels.. get As and Bs (preferbly As)..you'll definately get a place in NUS/NTU biz course.. or accountancy... if not if you do arts... most prob u'll end up as a teacher like what the others said... alot of my friends who went FASS (fac of arts &social science) ended up as teachers... -

you need to step out of your comfortable study zone and see wat this society is all about.. its not about top schools, top results or a degree..

Please .. don't study for the sake of studying,
don't study because others are studying ..
study, because of your interest...

Actually there are jobs in the government sector which take in graduates irregardless of their discipline (field of studies). Doing arts in UNI doesn't mean they you've got no choice but to be a teacher....there are still other employment opportunities.
But if you have a goal, a target, or an ambition...just work towards it...
I was in the commerce course during my JC days.. and i know how limited our choices are... (commerce's course's choices are exactly the same as art's).. it's either you do damn well and get into business or accountancy... or just scrape through and enter FASS... but there are other alternatives like studyin overseas.. or taking external degrees...which gives you a wider variety of courses.... no matter what there'll still be a way out....
But IMO, Biz ad's a better course... so work harder ya...if u can enter IJC, i don't see how you can't get As and Bs for your As... some people screw up for their promos and prelims.. but when it comes to A levels.... they pass with flying colors..just persevere on... ganbate!!!!! -

erm, i talked to mi teacher abt it...she refused to let mi get the withdrawal form, saying tt she had seen mi work hard, and feel tt i would do well for the 'A's...ya...
...told mi its normal tt, ppl fail all the way to the promos...its quite the norm...apparently....
but tink cannot go le bah....mi dad also dun let mi go...
i say stress, he say go see doctor...but too ex- in the end also didnt go...
dunno la...haiz...
from now onwards...jst pray more lor...and be a good polite boy...

if u wanna drop JC due to your poor results at jc, den just do it la
no point considering this and that, the longer u take to think, the more time u will waste...
if u drop now, u still have catch on to the next batch of poly students...
just think lo, does pure jc students or poly students earn more straight upon grauduation?
even if both poly and jc students go to uni, it will still be poly students earning more then jc students...
ns is a thing which cannot be escape...being slower by one year, doesn't make u lose out to others at all...
if u dun wanna be behind your peers and instead in front of your peers in standing, i can tell u tat no matter what u do now, we all are behind...
there are uni overseas which allow students to take uni with just O lvls so if you want to maintain ur status...do u think u are still in the lead??
if your saying studying isn't fun, wait til you get to work...it sucks....study harder and study in the environment which u like, if not next time, you will regret for sure....
