  this gurl i liked for over a yr..she wasn't materialistic..at least i knew her to be that wae during the times i met her. she didn't wear earrings (din have earholes..)
  
  however,when i went to receive my A lvl results(din see her for 4 mths..)..i saw her wearing earrings..and those earrings were dangling kinds(4-5 cm long chain-like earrings..enuff to attract pple?)..not studs..which is diffferent from most of the girls i knew who were 'ai mei(love to be pretty)'..
  
  she looked different....
  
  at once,the innocent and non-materialistic image of her shattered...i would hate to hear the truth..but...
  
  has she become materialistic and want to attract attention?
  
  if not..then why din she wear ear-studs like most gers did instead?

  Who are you to control whom she has become?
  
  If she becomes materialistic, there is nothing you can do to stop her. It is her body, her own characteristics, so she is the only one who can have control over it...
  
  And wearing those earrings don't necessarily mean she has become materialistic/attention-seeking. She might just want to try out something new instead of wearing the boring old pair of stud earrings all the time. Heck, even I have a 5cm dangling earrings, with a big red bead dangling at the end of it to boot. But I don't consider myself materialistic at all, and my friends can testify to that.

  her fashion sense just changed? and its not abnormal if gals wanna look good, who doesnt? you're worrying too much. you should worry when she doesnt give a damn on how she looks like

  bcos both of you r in the stage o growing up. b prepared to accept more drastic changes. also, it is a reflection to you that both of you r not that close as u may think otherwise. hence the information lapse.

  Then you need to accept the fact that people do change. For better or worse.
  
  There are many reasons why. But why bother thinking so much? If you want to know...ask her? It'll help stop you from thinking about the unnecessary.

  ask her why she wear earrings? wouldn't it be odd if i had inquired abt it? of course it clears my queries abt her..but i foresee teasingly curt replies from her again..like "my ears wad..not happy ah.."...

  wear ear ring is ok la... probably shes been a good gal for too long now she wants a change to her life so the new image but wats important is getting to know her inside that is important... u got talk to her?

  last time i used to pester her wif my smses..then for the past 4 mths..i stopped engine..full emergency brake too.
  
  she would occasionally pop up qns (thru smses or msn) to ask how im doing..when she knew i was sick..she advised me not to overwork myself..
  
  but i alwaes replied curtly to her..like merely answering her qns..
  
  her acts kinda reminded me of my ones towards her..a much milder version though..
  
  dunnoe whether she's playing hard to get or showing mere genuine concern for a mere fren too..
