but a person can be perfect in my eyes...meaning I have come to accept all his bad points and weaknesses over time, and saw that the good points in him outweigh the bad ones
Hopefully, that person will also see me as perfect in his eyes
Yes...I would accept the bad points...because I understand the fact that...nobody is really perfect in this world? We are all human beings after all, so we shouldn't be so hard towards the othersOriginally posted by StarPuppy:Cheerful Cheers raineeif the good points outweigh the bad points..it doesn't erdicate the bad points..would he still be considered perfect?

So yes, I would learn to accept the bad parts because that are also the parts that make him humanAnd that doesn't make him any less perfect in my eyes...maybe I just have my own definition of perfect la
Hmm...Originally posted by StarPuppy:Cheerful Cheers little antso what would u say a ideal "close to perfection" person is to you?

Hmm...sometimes ba...like many people tend to see the bad points and then just stop delving deeper into the person...see one bad thing already assume that the person is bad...but never spend more time to see that the good points are there, and they are more than the bad ones...Originally posted by StarPuppy:Cheerful Cheers raineei understand what you mean

But do you personally feel that the world is too critical about the mistakes of people?![]()

Wrong. If you are perfect to yourself, you won't learn. Because you know that you are imperfect, you learn. You learn to improve yourself, help others and make this world a better place to live in. The world will be full of people who thinks that they are perfect and it will be chaotic.Originally posted by StarPuppy:Cheeful Cheers to allTo me, there is no such thing as a perfect person..if there was a perfect person..there would still be fault in that person from views of diffrent people
as long as the person is himself/herself
he/she will never be perfect in the other's view but is only perfect to ownself

That's true, we shouldn't have to live up to expectations of others who don't see us as perfect.Originally posted by StarPuppy:Cheeful Cheers to allTo me, there is no such thing as a perfect person..if there was a perfect person..there would still be fault in that person from views of diffrent people

Well, that's how stereotyping works. You see him with a group of people who are known for something, and you immediately think he is so. The power of our mind. And it will be a wonder to know that Periodic Table works this way as well, although each element is different.Originally posted by rainee:Hmm...sometimes ba...like many people tend to see the bad points and then just stop delving deeper into the person...see one bad thing already assume that the person is bad...but never spend more time to see that the good points are there, and they are more than the bad ones...
So I think sometimes it is unfair to be so critical...so I tend to be forgiving towards others' mistakes...tho of cos there is a limit that one cannot cross la...![]()

yup...very unfair, hence I have learned to not jump into conclusion so fast abt a person...will take time to understand moreOriginally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Well, that's how stereotyping works. To be critical of others maybe unfair, and it won't be fair to him if he continues making the same mistake because everyone don't want to criticise. There's difinitely a limit to how one should criticise. But if one isn't critical of oneself, then it's a problem.
That means you haven't seen a stubborn person who aren't swayed by others. And they can be more chaotic than the rest.Originally posted by StarPuppy:Cheerful Cheers spidee
I agree with you but do you think that sometimes we are swayed by people comment on what we should be and sometimes leads to even more chaos?

Well, I believe that depends on the comments. We should heed constructive ones and ignore those that are trying to put us down. Ultimately we are responsible for our own lives, not others.Originally posted by StarPuppy:Cheerful Cheers spidee
