I already said - Most who attempt suicide need help, and there is no such thing as rational thoughts in their minds.Originally posted by yuko-ogura:often told those who wanna commit suicide, even ants fight to survive in 20-cent-coin sized water puddles when it rains..
why shouldn't we treasure our lives then?
I know of someone who actually "jumped" but did not die. Gambler. See my signature below.Originally posted by Marco_Simone:No no,not me,but I started this thread after I read the one by Agenda about ending his life...
Seriously,it takes a lot of courage to stand on the ledge and prepare for the plunge.I don't wanna feel what the person is feeling as he stands on the ledge...
I don't wanna feel what the person is feeling as he goes into freefall...and as he watches the ground become nearer and nearer...
Just wondering, anyone ever progressed to the stage where you stood at the ledge and looked down but somehow backed out?
I know of so many. Gamblers mainly. Why? Are you depressed? I know a thing or 2 about depression.Originally posted by con_fuse:im wondering anyone here who had depression b4?
How sure are you that people who commit suicide are mostly atheists? Aren't you being too generalised? You are saying that your religion belief is superior to others' beliefs. Please keep religion out of the picture here. You can go worship whatever God you believe in and tell him that you will never commit suicide.Originally posted by ironoxideman:well...what i think is,pple who commit suicide dont have to be cowards or pple who dont think on behalf of their loved ones...
many of these are atheists, pple who dont believe in the afterlife, for them, death is the ultimate release from everything and there is no after life or any other kind of consciousness. Therefore a person who reasons like this will think along the lines of, 'why shouldn't i kill myself?i will not have to suffer guilt for causing hurt to the pple i leave behind."
Quite scary actually...so u see how religion scares ppl out of suicide as well as provides comfort during hard times.

a depressed person needs family sarpot...by depriving them of family interaction, u r making their cond worseOriginally posted by jxjoox:IMO, depressed people are potential murderers. They have the potential to drag people along when they commit suicide. Look at the case of the lady who jumps with her two daughters. How about the gambler who kills his wife and two kids before jumping off his home.
If I have my way, IÂ’ll lock up depressed people in a mental institution until they are recovered. They should not have contact with their family members when they are depressed.
well, pple who fear god would think twice if they're going to attempt suicide.Originally posted by jxjoox:How sure are you that people who commit suicide are mostly atheists? i try before! u wont feel anything by then! u just slowly go blank~ then faint liao~ >.<Originally posted by thousandisland:like i've said, i'd guess it's an easy escape, a quick release, a painless death it seems to those attempting suicide. i havent experienced the state whereby i teteered on the brink of life and death neither will i ever want to experience that. yah, i agree we shouldnt just tag them as cowards or quitters especially you dont know what they were going through.
Yea...... it is so sadd...Originally posted by Marco_Simone:One of my classmates committed suicide.
While I was at her funeral,I let my mind go wild and thought:would I go the same path also? So frightening...
In the end,I told myself: HELL NO!
That's the coward's way out!
A smile of the baby at his mother,a word of thank you from a stranger, the rays from the sun rise, the azure blue sky,a well done remark on your school assignment.
Seriously, look around you,The Small Things in Life can make Life seem so beautiful at times...
not to forget, they will handcuff and arrest your lifeless body for murderOriginally posted by Fatum:not that I'm encouraging chaps to commit suicide, which is about the most stupid thing you can do ....
but jumping off a block is probably the most stupid thing you can do .... you go splat and your body parts get scattered all over ... maybe the resident population of crows and stray-cats will have a go at your carcass before the police and the morgue crew arrives to scrape you off the sidewalk ..... (hope that scares people off the thought)
there are so many people on this earth in need of a heart, a kidney, a liver, or perhaps even a pair of eyeballs to have another shot at life .... and people who wants to end it all were still selfish enough NOT to make their organs available for others when they decided to die ? ....
tsk tsk tsk .....![]()
