Why can't we move on easily ?

It has been 2 years after break off with ex-guy.
But why can't i seems to move on ?
I am still dwelling into the past memories (Happy and Saddness)
There are times when those memories bring me lots of miserables.
Have been trying not to look back on the memories but seems so hard to do so.
I guess he has long forgetten about me.
Going happily with his "not so" new love.
It would be wonderful if one could turn back the clock.

because you are hanging onto the past...thats the reason.
move away the block(past) to clear your path. If you dont have strength to move it at one go, move it inch by inch till you can get thru...
or the best is to find a guy to help you move it away(or carry you over)..

It's been 2 years, & you still haven't moved on. You ask why...
1. Nobody can help you move on, UNLESS you want to move on. Friends can persuade you & comfort you till their throats are dry, but if you refuse to let go, & you refuse to accept that it's over between the both of you, then No matter what anyone says, you won't. There isn't anyone to blame but yourself, girl...
2. By hanging on, & wishing you can turn back the clock, the only person you're deceiving is yourself, & you're wasting Not only your time, but that of those around you as well. Because they hafta keep being there for you to cheer you up, to comfort you, to talk you round. Are you being fair to them?
3. Make a positive effort to tell yourself you wish to start afresh, & it's time to close a chapter & forge ahead with a new & happier life. Whenever you catch yourself thinking of him, make a CONSCIOUS effort to think about other things, such as shopping, colouring your hair, getting the newest magazines to check out new buys (ohmigawd, is this theurapeutic!), indulge in a homemade facial, etc.
4. Let all your friends know that you intend to move on, & ask for their support. They'll be glad to help you if they're true friends. Let them take you out & paint the town red.
Remember. When you refuse to let go, when you refuse to accept, then the person who loses out most is YOU. Because the world won't stop just because of you. Others go on living, as do your friends, & obviously he already has moved on. It's only you who's stuck in a space which suffocates you & makes you miserable.

to move on or not is a DECISION you have to make.
and I do not mean just saying "I'm trying to move on but I can't"
there's no TRY, If you keep saying this "I'm trying to move on but I can't", YOU will NEVER move on. you are setting yourself up to fail.
Make the decision to move on and do it, look forward. go out have fun with your friends, stop thinking about the past. when you see a guy, do not start thinking "my ex won't do this, he'll..." or anything related to your ex.
remember, you can't sit back moaning about how you can't forget your ex, how you wish time will just rewind itself, and expect to SUDDENLY "hey I'm over my ex!!!" it doesn't work that way.

It is very much in a female's nature to hopelessly cling on to the empty shell of a relationship. By revictimising yrself again and again by thinking about the past, u only serve to create a cycle which would be even harder to break in the future. Not only in this past which u live in, but it could also affect other rels u may enter in the future.
The first step to clearing your mind, I feel, would be to set a direction in your life once again. Draw up a plan and find new challenges in which u could explore. To once again lit up the potential u certainly once had. Get back to friends whom u have missed out on in the past few years. Friendships can be much more wholesome than the empty shell u're carrying on your back. OF cuz, choose your friends wisely, the ones who can provide an objective view, not a personal one. -

but no one can stop you from thinking back.
so why do you still want to hold on?
he have already found someone already..
time and tide does not wait for you .
Girls age faster as time goes by and soon even if you want to find someone new,
you may not have any more chance.
give yourself and others a chance.
If you can give your ex a chance to love you and give you this memories then why not give others a chance to do the same for you ?

why dun you do so too? I have been in your position before also for about a year, its very very torturing and tiring~ you gotta get over with it le. dun keep the sadness of a empty hope in you.
you have to prove that you can live your life happily even without him in your life. Learn to be independent of your own happiness.
Learn to love yourself more before you can proceed to accept love and love another person. Learn how to make yourself happy.
hang out with friends more often and its more fun with friends than dwelling over the torturing past. -

First of all i like to quote, i didn't deceived myself.
For those who do not understand, i did lots of things trying to move on from the initial stage of singlehood after the break up.
I actually party with friends like mad, hang out with buddies have fun, join in friend's sunset bay, even took up some lessons to keep myself busy.
But sad to said, after 2 years of tiring schedules. I found myself at time missing "him".
In my heart i knew he would never return, with a mixture of feeling between hatred and missing. Somehow i felt i am lost somewhere.
I have tried to date but somehow somewhere in the dating part i just feel that it lacks of certain feels. I am questioning myself if the lacks of my feels was due to "him" or it's just the person i am dating isn't someone i am truely looking at ?
2nd date: somehow something he ring the bells of 'him' which freak me out. Don't ask me why i am freak out of "him" because i don't have an answer myself. Likewise friends are puzzles with my behaviors, asking the same old questions i shouldn't be feeling freak out because i should be feeling more hatred then freaking and scaring of him.
Right now, dating and love remind me of committments and the big roles of being someone wife and daughter-in-law. Being in these roles only remind me of the pains, miserable and suffer of endless jealousy and quarrels man given to me during my last relationship.
I hate my past, i wanna move on.
