I borrowed $10 from a friend. And it has been only TWO days and she has been pestering me for it. And to the extend of saying this:
"I don't friend you ANYMORE!
Ok. What is it with a mere $10?! A $10 CANNOT buy you that shirt you are eyeing for and that is BRANDED.
A $10 is enough to spoil a FRIENDSHIP though.

Originally posted by LinLing:I will like to say something about the hightlighted. Firstly, she had $20 in her wallet and she said she does NOT have ANY money and demanded for it back. And when I asked what about the $20, she said that was for going to NTUC later to buy groceries for the house. And I got this feeling she was lying because she said "Err.." before she said the sentence and gave this "faraway" look. Oh, now I remember. Last month, we went to the arcade together and she said she will pay me back the $30 I spent. STILL DIDN'T. Wtf is this?! Thank you people who reminded me. Go away to those who said I am a calculative/stingy or whatever person. SHOO. Just SHOO.

wah lao... if ten dollars is so small to you and not worth spoiling a friendship over then pay her lah!!! what's wrong with you? it is not the amount... people hate to feel cheated.... especially cheated by someone like you.Originally posted by LinLing:Are girls REALLY getting that materialistic nowadays? *Sorry if I spell wrongly! I know it's no excuse for bad behaviour... But kids are afterall kids... Notice how she is already refraining from further accusations..? Sometimes we realise our mistakes, but it's just difficult to admit and apologise upfront... Even ADULTS have PROBLEMS achieving that...Originally posted by FeowFeow:No excuse for bad behaviour. Asking advice & then turning around & pointing fingers at others is just Not cool.
If you can condone this, then I'm outta AA.

*Breath in*Originally posted by FeowFeow:Erm, little girl, don't you think you're being kinda rude? You didn't even tell us the whole story, so we gave our opinions based on the facts that you had given us.
So don't you think you should be pointing fingers at yourself & telling yourself SHOO instead? Better learn your manners before you offend other people.

I am not saying $10 is a SMALL amount. I'm just ANGRY by the fact that a $10 can easily just ruin the friendship, just like THAT.Originally posted by casino_king:wah lao... if ten dollars is so small to you and not worth spoiling a friendship over then pay her lah!!! what's wrong with you? it is not the amount... people hate to feel cheated.... especially cheated by someone like you.
Thanks a millions...=]Originally posted by Devil1976:I know it's no excuse for bad behaviour... But kids are afterall kids... Notice how she is already refraining from further accusations..? My point is that I suppose most forumites would have already contributed and have that message driven across to her by now...
As much as she was wrong to be turning around and pointing fingers at us... It's also as EASY for us to just POINT OUR FINGERS at HER (and hence as often, others' mistakes when they make confessions in AA...) No doubt though we would like to bring a message STRAIGHT across, it's always so much easier for us to be the ones pointing our finger... Turn the table around and you'll understand how it feels to have so many people pointing their fingers at your mistake... The IMPORTANT THING I would like to STRESS here is that... End of the day, our objective is probably NOT to CONDEMN a person for this type of mistake... But to hope that the person would change for the better... Kids are often never that adapted in handling emotional confrontations and peer stress... Know the limits and not drive one over the walls... EVERYBODY MAKES MISTAKES... Who doesn't?![]()
