Apperance isn't much of a issue here but I won't say appearence won't stop people from apporaching you. As long as you dress decently people will make friends with you that is if you look apporachable. actually i am thinking i have this kind of behaviour cause i lack self confidence..My physical appearance is something that i hate, i sometimes couldnt bear to see myself in mirror cause i am simply too ugly and wads more i have thinning hair
Physical appearance is something very important when ppl decide who to be with..Thats the exact reason why i have few friends..
You might think you are ugly but to some other people you might look ok. However what you need to do most is change you mindset that you are ugly, to one that you think that you are just like any other people in terms of looks. And if you think you are still ugly you need a makeover. -
Just go. U need to train up your confidence. Keep running away doesn't do u any good too
Used to be like you too, any gathering more than 5 person which i dunno. i won't try to avoid it, giving lot of excuse just not to attend. Really reason is paiseh to attend. But after giving some thought, i can't be running away from it forever. If not how i go out to work in the future.
Try to go there and have fun, if u dun feel like taking, just keep quiet there and listen to what they are talking. After a few more such gathering, u will get used to it le. -

Physical appearance is something very important when ppl decide who to be with..Thats the exact reason why i have few friends..
Those who just lingers on your physical looks are either SHALLOW or they just wanna get you into bed with them...??

I am quite unsurprised to see such posts.
teenagers nowsdays tend to hide behind their HP or messengers where they can bare everything. ask them for a social event and they just clamp up.
I believe these SMS and messengers are clamping the conversational and socials skills that are needed later in their life for business or job purposes.
No job interviews will be conducted via messengers or SMS, so I do encouraged all teenagers to go out once in a while, feel the sun, and learn how to communicate with each others. And to communicate without the lingos or the Singaporean slangs. Try to do it.
And when you are behind your HP or messengers, do whatever you like.
or else, sooner not later, teenagers will all just know how to say three words " i txt you" when you ask them anything. -
