I would say that sometimes the feelings involved are real. People who have never been in one tend to ridicule online r/s and said it is a waste of time, etc. I have been thru it myself, and when it ended, I was really hurt. So that's why I know that the feelings are real...
Think disappearing to let things cool down is not the way to settle this problem...maybe take a few days to let both of you calm down and then explain things to each other. Whether you are serious or you are just taking this as an online fling. And yea, you already have a gf offline, what are you doing by dangling this young lady around here? If you are just fooling around, explain to her before it is too late!
