Why are sg girls so notorious?

Come on guys, sg girls are known for being materialistic, fussy and domineering... and personally, i think it has something to do with them receiving higher education, being more independent, having their own source of income e.t.c. I know its beneficial for them, but i guess it somehow, it took over their mind and they succumb to the blind pursuit of money, looks, fame, all of which makes them so undesirable to us since most of them would actually resort to underhand methods... I'm sure all of us want a girl who would take care of things that they are supposedly good at and behaving in a way which makes them more "feminine" right?
And recently, i saw how the miss singapore universe contestants answered the impromptu qn on "What do you think of the notion that foreign guys are more attractive than local guys?". Basically, i think none of them answered well, though all expressed that they would prefer local guys (probably a politically correct answer) but none of them actually mentioned why local guys are specifically the preferred ones. I don't think its that hard to touch on the virtues of local guys IF they really prefer local guys right?
Well, i guess its just another talent(hypocritical) which they've learnt while they are growing up just to get wat they want...
No wonder local guys are going for foreign brides and local girls are going for foreign guys la, no denying that this is an increasing phenomenon...
Sigh... anyone care to comment? -

haha, paiseh la, i seldom visit sgforums until now mah... now got more free time...
not my intention to slam sg girls la, but i guess its just something we should really look into before it gets worst lor... I'm not saying sg guys are perfect or wat la, just that the situation is, sg girls and guys can never go into a discussion on this topic and none is relenting... seeking foreigners are definitely not the absolute solution to this problem lor... another thing is, i don't wish for singapore to really turn into a mini globe whereby we really have everyone from all parts of the globe settling down here and invading everything... Singapore will definitely lose its identity by then, and our home will become no more... -

is due to high education but what can we do? ask m.o.e to ban girls from receiving education? thats impossible -
actually, sg guys can be very caring for their gfs too mah, u just have to find them and unlock their hearts with passion hahaha
i have seen how some of my female friends change over the years lor... most of them learnt how to dress up, make themselves look pretty, but their mentality, and what goes thru their mind certainly gross me out lor, i find them childish and really just get jealous and throw tandrums over the most minor things and it really makes me wonder how they can live each day having such thoughts in their mind...
and the thing is, with all their independence, source of income... if u interviewed all of them, i confirm 99% will tell you that husband's money is their money and their money is their money... i mean how fair is that right? Why are they always arguing things in their favour and when it comes to them carrying out their own responsibilities, then they push it to the guys?

they still encourage each others when never they are given a task and they still call each other honey.

But seriously, I feel that the OP's comment only single out a bunch of SG girls that tend to be more difficult to please and mercenary. The bulk of my SG girl friends certainly do not fall into that category. Yes, they tend to have more expensive tastes that other Southeast Asian counterparts, but this is mainly due to our higher standard of living, and many can do without alot of luxuries. Besides, you as a BF/husband wouldn't want to try to give them a good life? -
