this protectiveness stems from the fact that you are afraid to lose her or afraid that one day you will lose a comfort zone...therefore you want to "protect/prevent" her from leaving you...
its not wrong as it is a natural human subconscious reaction...
possibly what you need to do is to let her know that you love her..and just silently hope that she loves you too...this way...she won't chu gui and look for other guys...
you have to communicate with her and let her know its alright for her to mingle with guys...but you must at least have some knowledge of it...
let her know that you trust her and don't keep you in the dark with regards to anything...it is often said that a couple must be frank with each other...
i know you will be jealous...but you still have to show your gentleman-ness and accept that she also need to have other guy friends...girls really hate those guys who are possesive and over-bearing...if you can show her you are kuang rong da liang...i am sure she will love you even more...even better if you can migle with her poly friends too...she will love it to bits...
finally...a relationship is like flying a kite...pull too hard...it will snap and fall...release to much it will fly away...you need to master the balance of in between... -

Just because she's entering poly doesn't mean that she'll instantly cheat on you and mess around with others guys whom you perceive as 'better' than you. It's only inevitable that she gets to know other guys while in school. Just see it this way: if you do go to another school, you'll definitely get to know other girls as well right?
In a relationship, both parties must learn to give and take. You can have your female friends, but she can also have her male friends as well. You can't expect her to stop getting to know other guys in the course of her studies just to suit your own personal feelings. -

Although you may justify it as 'normal' using love as a reason... but I suggest you have some self understanding and personal evolvement to very much reduce this jealousy.
The most important default law of relationship goes like this: If one bends on leaving, he or she would.
All jealousy centered around an aura of fear and insecurity - the fear of losing their partner to external reasons. But if you were to look at it carefully, it doesn't matter if there were external reasons - if he/she is bend on leaving, he or she would do it.
It is from within... the desire from within.

tat not the only thing that bother me... her family problems too... her father doesnt wan her to study in poly cos he wans her to support the family.. n her giro is not enough to pay for the 6 semester... all i can do is to buy her a notbook... i wish i can do more... cos i dont wan her to work while studying.. wat can i do to help her more...

u can get her to ask for bursary or financial help in the school...think its okie to work la...since most people in poly are working regardless of financial or non-financial reasons...
i gather since she need a laptop...guess she is from np? how about you? how come you can financially help her? -
