well....this is how it is...
My fren hu is 14 yrs old this year got a girlfren which he knew frm his fren's stead's cousin. n they work out their relationship frm dere. he onli knew her for 1 wk but they realli love each other.But dere is 1 prob my fren's parent was against it when they found out n they now watches him strictly. his mum has met his stead b4 n scolded her.his mum continue to disturb her n when she couldnt take it she suggested dat they break.but my fren realli like her n wanted to patch up wif her but his parent will still do the same thing. he quarreled wif his mum almost everday. he is feeling veri sad now he msg her but she nvr reply.
so any of u hu can give idea of how to solve this would be appreciated,he is a gd fren of mine n btw his stead is 15 -

I would advise their parents to go counselling like what i did to my own parents, i told my teachers there are some problem with them and they arrange professional counselling for them.

people learn from mistakes better then learning from listening to advice, just let they do what they want, it's their life..
its better that they don't listen now, bad things happen to them, then they learn to listen to advice rather then now listen to advice, then next time grow up dun listen to advice, and make a matter beyond their control. -

I think the friend can talk to his mum to understand why she is opposed towards this relationship. Normally parents are afraid that children will be distracted from their studies, or don't have the maturity to handle a relationship and hence do certain things they may come to regret.
Friend can then address mum's concerns and show that he is grown up enough to handle it. That is assuming best case scenario la... but depends on the maturity of friend and the temperament of mum la. -
studies would defin. come first. as for parents, try to sound them out in a nice manner.

If both parents are not open into the idea, it'll make the relationship a difficult challenge by nature...
With their current age (sorry that I'll have to question their maturity?), their responsibility and others' expectations on them... Their dependency on their parents, and the lack of true freedom for age...
If they can handle things well without knowledge of both sides' parents and is willing to risk the consequence of being found out, then perhaps they can take the relationship at a milder form... Else, not wise to go strongly head against parents' wills at this point... -
he is 14.. my advice.. ask him study .. he is onli sec2 .. he still hv a long way to go .. and more girls waitin to meet him ..

Ok lar.. to be honest i have the same problem with u but mine not so chiam larh untill parents is involve. the girl that i love her so deeply refuse to talk or chat with me on MSN or fone and wanted a break up cuz of a stupid mistake i ever made and yesterday i jus cried untill so badly friends even encourage me to get over with it i am the same age as u and i understand how ur friend feel the pain is like buey tahan dunno use what words to describe it but i can suggest 1 thing if ur friend is really serious about her den jus go for it follow his heart but dun severed ties with his mum or wad larh.. and i think the girl is scared of his mum lerh den refuse to msg him lor i think

my fren says since ur parents objected so furiously, its best to avoid being together openly. talk over msn, or with friends as friends. when u're older and have more authority over your freedom to date, etc, den you can get continue with this relationship. argue with your parents now won't do any good, it will only prove to them how immature you seem to them.

And how come it's the guy's side who reject the girl and not the other way around? How did the parents found out about the relationship?
Anyway, it will also depends alot on the girl if she still wanna have this relationship with the guy. It seems that the girl already don't like your good friend anymore. Cos if she still likes him, she would've suggested an alternative way to stay together. -> Important point, she is ignoring your good friend and that's a clear signal that she wants to end it on her own accord and for her own good.
As his good friend, you should keep him busy with other activities to help to get him over his grief. Nothing stays forever...people will change.

I've friends who have found true love when they've only known each other for a week and they're happily married.
And there are couples out there who have been together for 7 years and yet they still broke up eventually.
It's always good to keep an open mind and when things defy norms, it doesn't necessary means that it won't work out.
