I haven't lived in Singapore long enough to comment on Singaporean men and their habits. But I will say that there are always some good and bad apples in the bunch. Just because there is one or even a few hundred men who hit up the KTV bars and soccer bets doesn't mean that EVERY man fits the mold.
I have met some genuinely nice guys here. Sometimes, I feel it's a two way street-- both men and women are afflicted by their vices. After all, we're all human, have our secrets and at the risk of sounding cliche, no one is perfect. -

Humm i have a few small questions for you
1) If most man bet on soccer and gamble, then how about the others?
2) Since you do not like guys who gambles or go ktv, then why not find other guys who do? sure there are many guys out there..

Cos most of the singapore guy places romance and love at 3th or 4th place! They still need love but other may seems more inportant to them. It seems strange to me that you think trading shares is the same with gambling, or going KTV, or betting on soccer. Really no similarity to me. Trust me, in my mind at least, I find absolutely no similarity whatsoever, and I am an example of a male person who act that way. If they are similar, then I would also be gambling, going KTV, and betting on soccer, yes? But I only trade shares without doing those other things. So, could it be that they are dissimilar?
Regarding being money-centered and not romantic, well, depends on the guy la......in the first place you shouldnt date a guy who gamble, or especially go KTV. This is not being money-centered already, but bad habits. What kind of values do you think he has? And do you think a person with that set of values, will also have romance as part of his values? Do you think he will be romantic to you? I remember a saying 'green lawn has no brown patch' or issit 'a brown patch cannot live on green lawn'. Whatever, I forget already, basically it means a person cannot have a bad habit without affecting his overall character. If you see a guy with a habit of going to KTV, it is already a sign of what other values he has and what kind of a person he is. -
At least there are really still nice Singapore men around. Thanks those who say they don't do so.
