To mushy talk or not when on the phone with a gal?

I've been chasing this gal for the past few months and I still can't do the mushy talk thing. I'm afraid that if I do it might become awkward and embarrass myself. I care alot about maintaining an image and I hate to appear as some desparado or maniac to her. How should I go about overcoming this barrier?

99% of human communication is non verbal, think about that. Even if you become an expert at mushy talk, it represent 1% of what you have communicated to her. So the only way is to have genuine feelings and develop genuine feelings for her.
This will come out and be clear as daylight to her.
How will she know if you are not with her when 99% is non verbal in nature?
Develop real feelings for her and be with her. That is what dating is for.

You're right that's probably the easiest way to engage most people, and to keep girls interested. mushy talk is not a must...but it adds humour and spice to a courtship or relationship...like most things...add with a pinch of salt...
you must know when to come in...and when not to mushy talk...sometimes its very irritating actually...other times...it is very sweet...and i agree mushy talk is a good point to carry on a already boring topic...at least it gives you something to carry on with...
all mushy talks must come in good humour...never ever take mushy talk too seriously....if you wanna ask her to be your steady...never use mushy talk...you probably only give her a false sense of sincerity.. -

easiest is to when she slpin ask her xiang ni or dream of u lo...
it comes naturally for some ppl.. so it's difficult to explain how to do it.. sianz... no money no honey nobody loves mi..

Anyways I called her up last nite... Really enjoyed all the talk and all but there's this worry that I might just become her best friend on the phone or something. She got a new hairstyle last week... wah... so chio. Can't stop thinking about her man.
