How to tell if someone likes you?

I know this question is most likely been asked many times. I am not even sure if this is the right place to start asking. So I would like to apologise first. Please bear with me. Thank you.
I have noticed that when someone likes you, they tend to pay attention to what you say, notice your actions, little movements and small details. They will most likely agree to go out with you most of the time. (Whether it be in groups or one on one)
They may even do something they normally don't do just to attract your attention. They will also tend to nag at you, like find a job, take up studies, care your family more, etc, simply because they care.
What other things will they do if they like you? -

It could be quite a list of things that people might do if they like you....
But DO note that it's quite likely that the same list of things could be done by people who don't really 'like' you...? -

I have seen someone doing many things (not sure can it be considered extreme) for my male friend and she just want to be "brothers and sisters" in the end.
I still have alot to learn though. -
