Singapore radio wont play BM lah. Most to most u try RIA ROCK station...got local and foreign metal songs on their playlist. One of my band's old songs was played the other day haha.
Local BM bands, except a notable few like Impiety, Meza Virs....the rest don't know jackshit about what their playing and singing about. Its all "nuclear-war-monger-goat-vomit" bullshit. Dont need to waste ur time watching. And BM is anti-religion, not bloody anti-christ.
Talking abt metal here will only invite stupid remarks from ignorant fellas. Ur better off at the Metaltronic or soft.com.sg forums. -

this thread should be at the music station forums...but never mind since its here i would like to contribute.
sg's not been very tough on metal music and you can see many titles for sale in music stores. metal fans all over the world are keepin up and for those interested can check up their websai all over the internet. the origins and the very substance of hard core metal itself is far from any related to sg cultures and even some of the westerners are branding the music as outcast.
i dun mind that anyway but where do u see a musician marketing metal with a neatly cropped hair and a decent dress-sense? are we in to metal of it is just some marketing gimicks in the name of metal?
i do not go for names or image or what the musicians do in their private lives. if a band or individual produces numerous tracks that is to my liking that to me is metal...if its just some repeated crap and jazz sorry that's all for me.
so what comes first? hollywood or bollywood? the chick or the egg? is it metal or just some anti-sg thinking going on here in the brains? -

gorgoroth is one of the bands which i would like seeing them perform here. in their live broadcast concert vid, they displayed sheep heads on stakes, a bloodbath of 80 liters of sheep's blood, satanic symbols, and four naked crucified models on stage. shortly after they were convicted of beating up a 41 yr old man and raping and abusing other girls.
The Lyrics, And the Band,
They have their own doings,
Love their songs,
Not their doings.
Here's a Band I respect,
Sonata Arctica.
This is one of the bands that is dedicated to rock,
They have no influence over anytype of religon in the songs.
They Sing about life and nature.

Really ? Then I would like to see you get a Piano Diploma or A Violin Diploma .
As you know Guitar or bass, drum, are one of the easiest to attain fast speed playing. As you know the keys are lesser, and because it not a better solo object then a piano.
Thats some things pop music can do metal can't do.

I somehow understand how you feel when my neighbour practises his bass at irregular hours, many times at 3-6am. -
that's not considering it may be the resting hour for most human beings...if i wanna play the bass i make sure the output jack goes to my earphone/ headphone. during the day i pump it up no pob. and please do not blame the bass because the bass is not only used in metal..its a very commercial instrument and used in many modern music genres from Jazz to Pop to Metal you just name it.Originally posted by M©+square:
