I am a christian, and I dare say this. I can and will if I find a girl I love, marry her even if she is not a christian. Becoz I thank god that he sent me to her, he sent me true love, through a girl I love and who loves me.. tell me people, how un-christian can that be? To me, it's BU||sh|t when people say if they are christians, they have to have a christian bf or gf. God's love transcend everyone. Christians or non christians.
Some people even quote the bible and say that God says we have to marry a christian... FOR GOD'S SAKE! The bible is just a book, written by men. It is filled with mistakes and contradictions. We read the bible for guidance, for a peace of mind. But God's will for us, is through our very heart and soul. When God's love transcends you, words in the bible are no longer important, when u are acting through the will of God.
I know my views are very different from many christians... but that is what I've really learnt about christianity. I think that's what christianity is.
I can't believe those ppl who quote the bible or quran on the story of holy wars, and use them as an excuse to kill people. It's bull, all a bunch of BULL!
Yes I agree that its not mandatory that christians HAVE to yolk with christians. Its only preferable coz fellow christians share a common faith: that is in God and through that a better understanding of one another.
BUT the words in the bible are still important to christians and those who want to read it. It is through the words in the bible that one learns many things and sees the word of God in it. You read it one time, you may take it as a diary, story or narration. You read it the second time, you see it differently. Meanings within phrases, words within words. You see the third time, you understand the meaning in the verses more and more and can relate the words in the bible more towards the life you are living.
God's will is through our strength, heart, mind and soul. But the only way God can communicate with us is mainly through the bible and at times through a third party: like a person, certain events, a breeze of wind, etc, etc.
When you find someone whom you decided to spend your life with and she is no christian, I will pray for you and I will know slowly, you will bring her closer to God.

As for musicbox:
Correct me if I am wrong.
Now do you still think guys give empty promises? You are christian and I am sure you have brothers in your church and brothers in other churches. Do you condemn them as you have condemned guys who make empty promises?
