his family quite rich ya know, nowadays singaporean own cars, quite a lucrative business to change the tyres or repair dents, stuff like that... just like maintaining air-con. bcos some stupid fool don't know how to drive a car...
i used to consider becoming a mechanic apprenctice, start from scratch lah, then slowly u work urself up...
people will know ya by ur name and not ur look if ya made a mark in ur business...
some experts mechanic just need to listen to the sound of a running engine, he would be able to diagnost and rectify the faults accurately, believe its a good business to repair cars
but i think its true too, its a dirty job which i think most singaporean shunned... -

sometimes love isn't everything. I'm sure your mom is thinking of your future, try to step in her shoes. If you really can SEE a FUTURE with this guy you love, then go ahead. Ur mother is right in a way that u r her daughter. She wans u to be happi in future. she dowan her daughter to suffer in future that y she cant accept u n him.. wad ur bf can do now is.. after his NS, ask him to take up some courses to study,. upgrade himself, get a private diploma or degree in future. in this way, ur mum will accept him. Most imptly, u hav to make sure ur bf is those who can work hard one but not slacking all the way

If he dropped out of ITE means he has no interest in studies and will not make a good bf.
Should you two get married imagine what kind of influence he would be to the children.
Eh correct me if i'm wrong but the govt makes a good impression of poly because they don't want everyone to come out with a degree like in junior college yeap. -

As for dating couples meeting ONLY each other all the time, don't say your mum la, I think a lot of people would also advise against that. Get more friends, go out with more friends. It's sensible and has nothing to do with how much you love that person or not. -

I guess in order to deal with matters like this, you have to think realistically, there's really no point placing hopes on a fairytale-like-love-relationship in your current situation -
U must really see what kind he is. Does he have any dreams? Does he have any ambitions? Does he have determination? If one has those then you can close your eyes and continue ur relationship. Becoz as long as u have determination, education isn't necessary anymore.
But on the other hand, if he doesn't have that kinda qualities then I will side your mom. Its in ur own best interest that you find a better guy. Education is definitely important in my case. I would not consider anyone from ITE personally. But mind you I have good friends from ITE. I am not against them or anything =) Just my personal taste.. I like intellectual conversations with intelligent gals.
