Is my gf rushing into things?

A few days ago my gf of 2 mths suggested to me bout opening a joint bank account. She said we should start saving for our future. I was stunned and quickly brushed away the idea by saying we're still young. We're both 22 btw. She's a final year undergrad while I just started my first year. Am I wrong to reject her idea? Wat are the implications involved?

wow i have to admit on an average.. 2 mths is a really short time.. but think about this.. is the girl you are with now going to be the one you will stay with, love, cherish for the rest of your life.

Hmm.. basically I knew her since primary school and it was only recently that we got together. I know her quite well and she's no spendthrift. So I'm not afraid of her withdrawing faster than I can put in... In fact it's more of the reverse! Since she'll be working once she graduate next year while I'm still in uni, she'll have a regular income unlike me. Won't I stand to gain more as she'll be contributing a greater share?

You have to watch out.
But on other hand, she may be over eager to settle down and needs you to put in a 'deposit' first
for her emotional security sake.
If you love her reassure her you will accept her whatever the consequence whatever the situation
But there is no need for joint account.
Just go on cheap dates a.k.a saving for future.

2 months. Even if she is really serious, you should think what kind of girls decide to stay with a guy for life just after 2 months since they first met.

but based on this, i think it's a way over rushing into things, haven even settle down for a house, then start saving?
got any plans anot?
did you both plan for a car, house, work, wedding, wedding dinner etc, if all these haven settle, then no point settling the joint account.
