How would you cope with unappreciative friends?

I dun wanna sound negative but i have become very cynical towards people.
Out of the blue,my hp will ring and there will be friends who want me to acc them go somewhere,borrow money from me,need help from me.
Other than that,nothing more.
Perhaps we should love people and use things instead of love things and use people.

for me.....i would move on and find someone else that suits me.......some people just take things for granted....esp those people who haven't had a taste of hardship.......they don't understand that helping people in whatever ways takes up alot of energy and motivation...........not to mention all the emotional backdraw from such nonchatalanr attitude......

As for how you manage people who try to take advantage of the situation, that is a different thing altogether. -
If a friend does not receive what I've sown into his life, I would stop giving what he deserves. You also have to understand you muz be emotionally stable to help a friend. IF they see you are a source of help for their probs, they will be over-reliant on you and you may be drained emotionally.
