i'm in love?

  okay so.. i bet most of you guys here 've heard of me & won't take me seriously, but this time i'm currently feeling quite moody now & really need your invaluable advice & help!!
  
  so.. around three weeks plus ago i met a friend's friend for the first time during an outing for the first time. before that, my friend, who's actually my senior in sec school has been telling me about him for quite a while.. let's call him 'jackfruit'. although she didn't specifically mentioned to me, i could sense that she has the likes for jackfruit.. probably because i feel that she's rather submissive towards jackfruit.. sometimes 'protecting' & shielding him from others' bad mouthing & comments.. she stands up for him almost everytime. but the thing is, she is 1 year older than him..
  
  during the outing, jack really left an unforgettable impression in my heart. not cause of his appearance but cause he gives me the feeling that he's a really good guy who'd make an awesome soul mate. though it's so damn obvious that my senior likes him, jackfruit is rather oblivious of her attempts to flirt with him..
  
  few days later, i happened to see him near where i stay and reassured that he actually stays less than 5km from me. we didn't talk this time but he did give me his msn address so i added him.
  
  just yesterday, we chatted a hell lot online with several other friends inside the conversation and i learnt a lot more about him! he's not at all flirtatious like other guys are but he's immensely popular with girls in his school, workplace... he's also studying in a top 5 jc. my friend then told me that there're quite a few girls 'chasing' him currently.
  
  now, i'm almost always online waiting for him to come online just so we could chat. i get all flushed up when i hear his voice or recieve his msg. once i even call him for help in my schoolwork.. he tried his best explaining to me & made sure i understand it.. he even told me that i could join him & his friends (i think all of them are guys) to study in the library if i want.
  
  i'm really amazed by this person & think i'm going nuts! i'm pretty sure it ain't lust cause this guy isn't even that good looking.. compared to other guys i know. he has the 'good boy' look if you ask me. am i right to say i've fallen for him?
  
  should i tell him about it?

  it's something you have to answer yourself.. by being totally honest with yourself...
  
  take the time.. do some soul searching...
  
  but do remember.. youth is when emotions run really riot and hormones amplify things.. what are usually infatuations and lust are usually mistaken for love...
  
  and most in their youth, carried away by exuberance, think they are..
  
  personally, i think it takes time to develop... a LOT of time...
  
  that's me..
  
  but do take the time.. a few days, a week.. whatever it takes.. to think about everything... take stock of yourself and be brutally and painfully honest... do more than scratch the surface..

  if u think a guy is interested, the best way to get him is to flirt with him. show him u are interested too. as a guy i think its the absolute best method.

  Anyway, lol flirt with him but don't overdo or else the guy may think that u are "loose". Don't tell the guy u like him first unless u are confident of yourself or else it will scare him off nia. In any case you should once in a while make hints of you being interested in him such as making eye contact with him and send of "electricity". Portray yourself as a good fren so that you two can start as close frens first. Take things one step at a time. Just my few cents worth.

  In all probability, it's just a crush and the feeling's quite similar to love except that there is less depth and the feeling usually fades over a period of time. Test this feeling of yours against time and see if it fades. If it lasts, you may have been shot my Cupid's arrow. Anyway, enjoy the butterflies in your heart while you have it in the meantime. No need to act on those feelings for the moment. Besides, ur still studying and it's better to channel as much of your energies into your studies as possible...........
