I super cannot stand it. just let mi voice out my frustion here ok..
koaz my mum smtimes i really feel tt she is soooooooo unfair.. my elder sis, since got married till now, did not even give her any monthly allowance, got married the moment she grad, always complain no money so dun hv to give, given her kind of lifestyle of coz no money lah, buy car, get maid to do her hsework, koaz then once in a while buy cheap cheap stuff for my mum she will ne like praising her to the sky like tt, mi leh, give her mthly allowance, bring her out, buy her stuff, help out w/ hsework so tt she dun hv to work so ahrd or employ a maid and in the end this is wat i get...
darm unfair lor, she keep saying coz my elder sis so tired, somemore hv to give tut, mi also wat, im also holding a full time job n giving tut wat, smtimes so tired till i can sleep while i walk k, but does she know NO lor...
then my younger sis, also v idiotic, i know she wants to sleep in abit more so i already wait till 10+ then call her up so tt i can sweep n mop the floor, then in the end wat i get, give mi the attitude face, ko0z mi not a maid lor, she dun hv to do any hsework n still give mi tt stupid attiude, dun give mi the crap tt coz she hv to study so no time to do hsework n v tired hv to sleep in, last time when im studying i hv always been the one helping out ard the hse also lor!!!

sometimes really have to voice out. how abt ur dad? does he show favouritism?
i duno whether i should suggest this, but maybe moving out is better for you. -
take a break, go for a one week vacation, u be surprised how much they will appreciate you from then on.

Agree.. Sometimes this type of parents don't deserve your help.
(By the way if your parents have given you a lot then nothing to say.. But they didn't then Screw them. Let them see what you make off... Just think first loh... Some parents just think they like give a lot to their children but actually don't.)

a suggestion from a kiddo only..... no need take it so serious
u can try making her noe that u had done a lot.........for the family by maybe moving out as said earlier by our forum mate, go on vacation but be sure not to quarel with her..... if not she will forever not realise ur hard work and ur effort may go to waste
as for reason to move out......... maybe too pei chek?

Well... I am not in your shoes so I not sure how "pek chek" you really are, but if you really cannot take it then take a break and go out for a holiday. Let them do all you did in the house and for the family. From what you said, you deserve a GOOD break. BUT its up to you to decide what you really want to do. You are afterall venting out and may go back to what you did as always after venting.
Some parents don't know how to appreciate what their children are doing and some children do not appreciate what their parents are doing. Different people requires different methods to let them understand what is being done and should be blessed and appreciated.
I, for instance, appreciate what my family is contributing and I do my fair share for the family too. I love my family. No matter how weird they can behave at times, I still love them. Don't let this negligance or unappreciation or whatever you want to call it affect your love for your family.

Perhaps you should stop comparing yourself to your sister. Stop and ask yourself why you r doing all yje things you do - housework, taking care of your mon, your sister, etc, etc......... I believe it is out of pure love coz I dun think wnyone will do all these things for nothing, let alone get brickbats. So if iyour doing everything is out of your love, why bother if you dun get the recognition and praise? The people around you might be blind but I'm sure God has eyes that see. You shoulf give yourself a pat on the back for doing all the shit and getting scarely anything in return. The satisfaction you feel for doing all in your power to take care of your family should be far more worth than praises from anyone else lor......
Keep up the hard work. Your rewards will come in time: treasures beyond compare........ just that the time is not now yet. -

But sometimes No matter how pure the love is it takes time to fade off if there is no 2 way communication. I only can say we aint saint.. We all human being.. Even as a volunteer you don't get any monetary away but a little thank and appreciation from the other party will definitely the best reward. So lets face the fact and don't talk like a saint. So still comes to the pt where did your parents appreciate you in some ways or they just treat you like a dirt.

Sry to hear abt that, girl. My sis faced bias as a middle child. I'm the eldest. Luckily, we get along v well and I've helped her get past the bias by sharing my "spoils" and not taking advantage of the bias ^^.
A person who does not acknowledge your efforts may actually appreciate it, but never really thought that you need to hear the appreciation. A common situation can be summed up this way : "But you know mummy loves you, whaaat (surprised face)."
Then again, the favouritism towards ur sis might be coz she's given ur mom grandkids and therefore her contribution to the family outweighs yours because she has "earned her keep".
These responses really depend on the type of person your mom is. Try to communicate with her more often ( diplomatically and gently ) to tell her how you feel and understand what she wants. You may be surprised at the response you get.
I think a good direction would be to try and establish your independence by forging a career for yourself and/or maybe marrying/having kids if you want. That way, you can be "grown up" in the eyes of your mom and earn more respect within the household ^^ -
