For that promotion- is it really that important? If I'm capable, I don't need to curry favour the boss or do extra work- I still get the promotion/pay raise
To find that special someone- if she's yours, she's yours. Why spend all of your off days trying to ask her out?

Basically, I work hard for life, not because of other ppl, but to make sure that when I grow old, and reflect on my life, I won't have regrets.
I work hard, if I don't get my promotion, I'll wait, and go, once another better offer comes along.
I work hard for relationships, if it doesn't work out, I had put my fair share of effort in as well. I won't regret.
Anyway.. I'm just sharing my life perspective. You don't have to agree with me.
