She doesn't know what she wants.
She wants to be attached to your friend, but she doesn't want to realise the reality of being attached as well.
In other words, she's in limbo. And so long as she is, so is your buddy.
Just tell your buddy to give her the cold shoulder. She deserves no less. -
my advice is ignore.
do not answer her calls, sms, emails...
if it is inevitable that they meet (like in sch or something) keep a dist. do not let her hold his hand, talk to her like a norm hi-bye friend.
if she shouts at him, respond as if a hi-bye friend suddenly shout at you for no reason - leave. -

The situation is this... my buddy (a guy) met this girl... they started dating, getting to know each other... though he asked the girl a couple of times if they are officially an item, girl always said no, although she's been sending out all the right signals (i.e. hold his hands etc)...
After more dates, this girl true self came to light... she expects to be loved without giving any in return, refers to my buddy as her boyfriend, yet tell him that they are not at that stage yet... she'll rail at my buddy at the slightest thing...
Now my buddy has seen through this, and think he should dump her. But how to dump her when she's not his girlfriend???

I don't think ignoring someone is good for the karma. It doesn't have to be an eye for an eye - this will start a vicious cycle.
Your good friend could try talking to the girl about this issue.
Failing which, I would suggest for your good friend to tell the girl that they should stop seeing each other for the time being. She would probably ask him why. Then he can bring out the issue out to open and see if any way to resolve it. -
I suspect involved are below 20s. Maturity will solve the problem..

the next time she rails at him and picks up a quarrel, tell her that they maybe arent suitable for each other. shld give each other a cooling off period(eg 1 mth). during this 1 mth, dont contact her at all. if she tries to talk to him, tell her what he is feeling all along.

if he is still not strong enough to talk to her or tell her about this, i guess the day will come when he will snap during one of the quarrels and spill everything out. things will turn ugly. everyone has a limit to tolerance. -
i think the guy cannot bear to dump her, maybe hoping for things to change around some day?but it will never happen , im pretty sure of it.it will be forever one way street

I think my buddy is seriously screwed... I told him that as much as I don't feel she's the right one... If he really likes her, just try to work things out with her... then again... she's not really his girlfriend wat... work what out?
He's only like her "show-off" boyfriend... don't want to be his girlfriend yet kept leading him on... kiss him... hold hands... etc...
