Why sigh? If they married happily ever after, you should be happy for them what...?Originally posted by blu_sky:Honestly, not all players come to a bad ending. I've seen many who still managed to marry good and pretty wives.

Maybe. Also maybe some men are juz better in playing the game, including the hiding the truth from the wife?Originally posted by M©+square:I would say it's half of the factor are wives decision.

Well, the thing is, some of them might not know it consciously, they just do it without knowing why.Originally posted by M©+square:The question i have is, when they've told you the secret of keeping the relationship.
Do you think young people of this present generation, will be able to use them as role models for this modern era of handling relationships?
e.g Elderly couples experienced the 'Strong men, weak women. Men - Breadwinner, Women - Housewife' era.

Male or female alike... You won't know...Originally posted by blu_sky:Maybe. Also maybe some men are juz better in playing the game, including the hiding the truth from the wife?
EG how would a wife's suspicion be arouse if the man misbehave in the dark alley behind the place he is entertaining his clients? and he never stay out too late? And all the colleagues cover for each other?
This is a true life case.
Sorry TS, sorry for digressing.
I do. Cos the one who went to the back alley with that married guy is married too.Originally posted by Devil1976:Male or female alike... You won't know...
And the WORSE part is.... Probably that's only CHAPTER 1 of the STORY....Originally posted by moongster:Well, the thing is, some of them might not know it consciously, they just do it without knowing why.
Regarding your question on whether young people are able to use them as role models, this would depend on situations and we just need to learn from mistakes. There is no running away from chance. I'm basing on the actuarial approach, the chances of success are increased if you learn from others' mistakes but it does not mean we don't fail.
More digression...Regarding the men's and women's roles in modern society, the biggest cover up in history is not Da Vinci's code.
The fact is that we have about three generations of men raised by women on how to become men. During the agriculture era, sons had the chance to work along the fields with fathers, uncles and brothers. This male bonding allowed boys to become men. When industrialisation came, fathers were seldom at home, leaving boys in the care of mothers. So, mothers now educate sons to be the kind of men based on women's perspective - nice, sensitive, etc. And then in schools, boys are taught to please women - because most teachers are women. With all these conditionings, we can see how these lead to more and more sensitive new-age guys ("nice" guys).
Young people of the current generation probably have a lot more choices now than before. This causes even more confusion because now, we have so many different ideas on how relationships should work. These days, we all want quick-fix. Learn Java in 24 hours, Get Rich Instantly, How to Win Friends and Influence People, etc...

If a player is never satisfied with one woman, he should never, ever get married.Originally posted by blu_sky:Maybe. Also maybe some men are juz better in playing the game, including the hiding the truth from the wife?

I mean it's difficult to know if one's inetntion is to hide the truth from you...Originally posted by blu_sky:I do. Cos the one who went to the back alley with that married guy is married too.
This should be one of the few things which I can truly agree with you...Originally posted by dokono:If a player is never satisfied with one woman, he should never, ever get married.
There is always a prettier face, a fresher face out there.
But finding a gem of a woman as a wife is harder than that.
When you played enough, you will find life very empty.

Yes indeed very hard to find out if there is intention to hide.Originally posted by Devil1976:I mean it's difficult to know if one's inetntion is to hide the truth from you...
And even if a partner knows...? Can one truly prevents if one is really determined in his / her ways to stray...?![]()
Sometimes this 'next course of action' might comes with a price...Originally posted by blu_sky:Yes indeed very hard to find out if there is intention to hide.
Well, if one is made aware of the situation, he/she may not be able to prevent partner's stray, but is at least well-informed to consider his/her next course of action.
Then again, there is another school of thoughts. They say, ignorance is a bliss.

You dont have to go thru something to learn something. Learn thru others' mistakes, that makes you a smarter person, probably less scars too.
