Say what you will. I may not have graduated, and I still say that I'm pretty much aware of the reality of mechanical engineering. Suffice to say that you don't know enough about me to make such a claim.Originally posted by Cystaire:My friend you are NOT aware of the reality of mechanical engineering.
You haven't even graduated yet.

I know you might see me as naive, but that is not of interest to me.
At the very least I do not depress myself into thinking that everyone out there is an enemy to me. I'm trying to offer you a solution for you to get out of your depressing state; and yet all you do is whine about how you 'suffer from stupidity' and how you 'suffer from laziness'.
Intelligence and effort are relative things; what is smart and hardworking to one is dumb and lazy to another. So how? Can you work non-stop 24/7 so that the whole world will finally start seeing you as intelligent and hardworking?
Which is why I keep telling you: stop comparing yourself to others! I'm asking you to shift your mindset away from those self-destructive tendencies, and yet you still choose to persist having such a mindset!
People here are trying to help you; yet I see that you refuse to help yourself. The only true solution is a paradigm shift in your viewpoint of things; and you still insist in seeing things your way. Continue whining then; you'll find yourself remaining in the very same position you were at the beginning of this thread.
Very well. I've had my say. Good luck to you.
Thanks for your concern.Originally posted by TYING:You never know that there are people who are worse off than you. Its considered admirable that you are even a scientist.
Remember, "Let the person perform the Art he loves most". If you are extremely interested in science, you should have more confidence and substitute your negative points with some other aspects. Like creativity?
Also, everyone in this world will have their own expertise, just believe in yourself. Let the others be, they might seem to be in a better position because they have manage to overcome or avoid their weaknesses. Do that too and you will surpass them one day.
Have faith in yourself and i will have faith in you too. Good luck and not dwell on it anymore.

I suffer from stupidity. Why? Because no matter how much I've read there is always somebody much clever.
I suffer from laziness. Why? Because if I can work until 12 midnight, there is always someone who can work until 3am.
When the world is your competitor, I ask you how can anyone NOT be stupid and lazy?
there will always be someone better than you. and even if you become better than that specific someone you will soon find that there is someone even better than you. never ending one lar.Originally posted by Cystaire:I entered the field a few years before gahmen announce the life science program, so I am not one of the followers.
