What is your niche? Are you good at it? Do you know how to make the system work for you? Bankers/Lawyers are human too, you can't sell them a pitch? Have you ever considered that your pitch may not be any good??
Sounds like you have a lot of living to do my friend, commercial world not like the safety of school and home any more, u cant take the heat? Move over my boy, no one owes you a living much less a fortune. -

we're living in a cut-throat world of intense competition where domination is the name of the game. Either we make an effort to conquer, or we will end up as the ones being conquered. If you choose to give up due to disillusionment, you only have yourself to blame should your future be bleak.
and i have to disagree with you that invention is a lawyer's game. think about bill gates, warren bufett, george soros, olivia lum. they were in no way powerful business people when they started out, they had no financial muscle and zero bargaining power, but look at where they stand now. Although the rich does gets richer due to access to better education and resources, there are some notable exceptions of wealthy industrialists who managed to rise to the top despite having to start from scratch.
your bubble of idealism and utopia may have burst, but what remains is the hope that there is still a better tommorrow so as long as you keep on trying and striving towards your endeavours. -
I am insignificant but I am happy doing what I do . I know I have contributed something to make someone's life a little better somewhere. I may be just a nameless face in the crowd but I know who I am , what I like doing and I have people who love or respect me for who I am - that makes a big difference to me. i guess you proabably having your PMS period.
during this period. you will feel shitty and angry about your life.
but you have to grow out of this attitude........
you need to learn and upgrade you
1)beliefs system
2)emotional intelligence
3)correct understanding of reality
the correct reaction to handle unfairness in life is not to react with anger and frustration.
according to buddhism way, you simply need to observe it. dun get trap into the emotional thing.
its not as if unfairness only started five years ago.
the building of great wall of china has caused many deaths
people die by accident everyday
guai people is not safe from death......
the process of growing up of human, and in your case, is sometimes filled with pain when you received confusing messages.....
the more you learn and try to understand them, the more you accept what is reality, the more mature you will be in the end...... the initial part of growing up is filled with confusion sometimes but that is understandable..... -

I think in this corporate mess, the most important thing is "do u know wat u
want out of life?".
Coz if u do, follow that & it will navigate u through this mess and achieve wat
u want. and bcoz u r pursuing wat u want, u will not find it lost or
meaningless anymore.
Eg, if u like imparting skills to ppl, get to nie to be trained as a teacher and
teach. or be certified and teach something like microsoft courses.
If u like helping others, check out nvpc's website and see what opportunities
lie for u.
Remember, your aim need not be "to be the CEO of a company", or to own a
few private properties, or drive fancy cars. For those with such aims, they will
pursue them of course.
But u sure it is wat u want? if so, go for it. if not, find your passion and see
how it gives u meaning in your life. then u'll not find yourself a robot
anymore. -

It's no coincidence Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and George Soros made the bulk of their wealth through commercial activities in the United States - it is also no coincidence that over 270 of the world's 500-odd billionaires(measured in terms of USD) are people residing in the US. In a way, your life opportunity restricts how much/far you can go, regardless of how talented you may be. Try imagining a Bill Gates(assume he's born with the same intellect and talent, but without the opportunities open to him) born in North Korea/Ethiopia/Singapore/China achieving as much as he has done... -

As the old man walked down a Spanish beach at dawn, he saw ahead of him what he thought to be a dancer. A young man was running across the sand rhythmically, bending down to pick up a stranded starfish and throw it far into the sea. The old man gazed in wonder as the young man again and again threw the small starfish from the sand to the water. The old man approached him and asked why he spent so much energy doing what seemed a waste of time. The young man explained that the stranded starfish would die if left until the morning sun.
“But there must be thousands of miles of beach and millions if starfish. How can you efforts make any difference?”
The young man looked down at the small starfish in his hand and as he threw it to safety in the sea, he said, "It makes a difference to this one.” -

I do not have the answers you are looking for, but I believe we all can help you identify some of the issues you can address.
But in spite of my intelligence I clearly lack the wisdom to direct it towards meaningful courses. I haven't worked out what "meaningful" means yet. So far I have only been listening to what other people think "meaningful" is, and their views have been very inconsistent and often downright contradictory.
When I find it (a few years or a lifetime) I will know what my purpose is. -
