Enjoy ur life! life is not equals to work. Most work to get a life. Go hang out, go dating, go travelling, learn to play some music, go do outdoor activities... there's lots of thing to do in life.Originally posted by suss.adele:I'm 16.
Having my post-O'level holidays now; not working.
I come from a family of 5- 2 older bros and I'm the youngest girl. Sometimes I think things come too easily for me. It's like, I want what, I get what.
I don't need a job 'cos my Dad isn't keen on the idea. Last year I tried to get a job but he said "I'll pay you double of what you'll be getting there".
The thing is... Whenever I see my friends working (most of them are), I feel quite useless. I mean, they have that ability to earn their own $ and don't have to depend on parents, and most of them come from families that aren't as blessed, and maybe facing financial difficulties, but they are still able to overcome all this, including the stress etc! And me? I'm their age, good family/environment/no problems but I feel like I'm not as capable as them.
Sometimes I wonder what's the meaning of life. It's like so pointless. I feel like the people around me have something to live for. They wake up in the morning and have to work/go for a meeting/plan a presentation etc. But me? I wake up in the morning, sit up on my bed and think, "What should I do today?" Shopping? Did that yesterday. Go for some fine dining? Did that yesterday too (you get what I mean).
All these was fun at first but as the days pass the novelty of it all wears off. I feel like a sloth, I lack the drive.
What are my goals...
My ambitions...
I feel rather useless...![]()

when picking up another language, you might want to consider the future potential of picking up a certain language.Originally posted by suss.adele:thanks everyone for the advice
i've tried nvpc and have found some volunteering work. gonna call them up later to see if they need any help. i think i'll try out the_fallen's advice to take up another language. think it would come in useful esp. for what i plan to do in the future.
God bless![]()

Laughing
jk.
Sometimes I feel like that too, and after reading your blog, it makes me ashamed of myself.
Maybe your parents are protective, but you should try to "break free" sometimes.
Life isn't all about what our parents think; as important as they are.
Very Happy

i was thinking french. cos i am plannin to do fashion design.Originally posted by the_fallen:when picking up another language, you might want to consider the future potential of picking up a certain language.

If you are considering French, think again. Coz in Swiss, the country is divided into 4 different languages- French, German, Italian, 1 other language which I've forgotten. The people in Swiss knows english, so we have no problems communicating with them. But for Japanese and Korean, we can't communicate so have to learn.
This is my own perspective.
Think and decide for yourself which language you want to learn.![]()
i second that. what i worry most is when i start workin next time, i'll have totally no experience and if unplesant things happen in the workplace (office politics?), it'll def be a bigger blow to me than my peers who have started workin and know how things go about...Originally posted by missqi:When is our next facial?
