When an event has happened, it has happened. Nothing can change that. However, perception of that event that happened can be changed. Hope i've answered your qn on 'i thought, i thought'.Originally posted by AndrewPKYap:We do not have to talk about certainty of the future since you are so smart... are you sure that you can be certain of the past all the time? So you see even the past is not "certain" right? So what is certain? Is there nothing that is certain? Read the "poem" again and tell me what is certain?Originally posted by blu_sky:When an event has happened, it has happened. Nothing can change that. The trick is to live with eternity AND a moment in time at the same instance! I can do it but I don't know how to teach somebody else how to do that! It is a real headache!Originally posted by rane:![]()
Not wise to make rigid plan if the plan can be a flexible one. Guess in life be it relationship or others if possible (depends on the nature) if we choose to be flexible, we can be happier people! La, la, la, time to let our hair down, it's Saturday! Umm, nice weather, time to go and enjoy!

HUh, live with eternity and a moment in time at the same instance! Sounds very like Christianity - don't understand this statement, care to explain? To live for the moment and prepare for the future is what I think is necessary. The past serves as a reference and experiences that we learn to put in use for the moment and future.
I think it sounded more like Buddhism.Originally posted by rane:![]()

This world is "ruined" by sin and so there is no hope for this world.
How can you live Eternity in this instance while you are here on earth?
I think Christians are not allowed to think for themselves. They are supposed to accept a set of beliefs and that's it. No questions asked. All their debates are conducted within their set of beliefs. They are not allowed to question their beliefs. The minute they question their beliefs, they are no longer accepted as Christians or they will be labeled as cults. I think it is such a waste because I study what Jesus taught and there is so much to learn.Originally posted by rane:![]()
Andrew, i suggest you ask the christians re the above question. They have lots of theory, many of which are not practical and realistic.
