My advise to you is don't wait... While it is true that absence makes the heart grow fonder, prolonged absence can likely dilute a relationship. Our minds are programmed to be forward looking, thats why memory will fade (for good reason too...). The longer you two get separated, the less likely something will come out of this long distance relationship...Originally posted by neighborgirl:he told wait... wait ... wait
Exactly. It doesn't work out. You forgot to mention that the guys also are looking for new targets overseas? Also, the girls on the other side are being hounded by guys at home also?Originally posted by Beyond Religion:My advise to you is don't wait... When I went for overseas study, my batch of fellow SIngaporeans consisted of perhaps 20 guys, half of whom have girlfriends in SG. For the first months these guys really behave themselves... putting their GF's pics on their dorm room walls etc. etc.... But one year down the road, none of these guys maintain that relationship with their GFs in SG.
So, spare yourself the heartache.

well, i have a friend who met her bf in OZ during the last year of her studies. she came back half year after they were together. her bf continued his studies for another 2 years there, while she was here.Originally posted by Beyond Religion:My advise to you is don't wait... She is back already? everything is good now?Originally posted by mystee:i just went thru these for a yr... when my partner was in Uk... the time difference was hell and everyday waiting for him to online.. was hell too... really difficult times.. had lots of quarrels, mistrust, initating of breakup etc... thou we are supposed to be very stable in our r/s as outsiders think so. all i can say, is not impossible, it really take 2 hands to clap and seriously maintaining this long distance r/s.
yup, he is back already, was there for a yr... lots of things happened when he was there and we almost broke up. As both of us cant bear to leave this r/s, so we compromised and promised that we will try not to bring up things that were happened there again.Originally posted by blu_sky:She is back already? everything is good now?
Since you have decided to give it one more shot, give it your best. Put the past behind you. Dont think about them, at least try. But NEVER mention them to him. If need to, talk to a friend.Originally posted by mystee:yup, he is back already, was there for a yr... lots of things happened when he was there and we almost broke up. hmm... in every r/s, there are up & downs... but things aint too good recently, still due to trust as discussed with u in another thread. we were togther for almost 5 yr, i knew he was the one for me. but i just cant bring myself to trust him due to some incidents that happened in uk and in sg.
just hope that he can jz stop hiding and lying to me... one more time.. and that's it.. i will definately stop this r/s.
