No point saying my result.
What makes u tink that if u can;t enter NJ, u can enter RJ. No offence but RJ is more stringent than NJ in terms of choosing their students.
I got the best possible score without bonus points.
I'm just a little depressed over bonus points. -

But you seem to be pretty content at just whining and lamenting about your supposedly poor results without telling us details like why you must go to RJ and why you won't even start to consider the other JCs.
You want people to help you, but at the same time you think it's pointless to let us know the details with which we can give you well-informed advice and counsel.
Whining gets you nowhere. You will only end up making a lot of noise.
'Nuff said. My efforts are better spent on people who actually wish to be helped. -

if not
any of the other jcs should be okay for u to pursue your A levels
in the end its ur results at the end of the 2 years that matter

times have changed, dude.
there are raw 6 pointers who rather stay/go VJC, TJC, AJC, SAJC, ACJC etc. the rankings don't really matter now.
i know of 8 pointers who wanna stay in YJC & 8 pointers who wanna stay in TJC even though they can get 4 bonus points off.
does being in a 'elite' institution really matter? to a certain extent, no.
most of all, is RJC suitable for you? can you survive the elitism & competition in RJC? compare the cultures and environments of RJC and NJC, besides the human relation factors, which appeals more to you? my friend who is in RJC(via DSA) is scorned badly by quite a handful of those elites. who knows, even those who made it to RJC with Os results are scorned by the raffles through train family. its not about the brand, its about whether you can strive in it. think about why do polar bears live in artic regions and not the sahara.
you got the best possible results and still depressed. hey, 6 - 3 = 3. your chances are darn high. and you are still depressed. think about poor souls who have no bonuses. i don't have the HCL bonus just because the management had all kinds of excuses to stop me from taking HCL though my CL results were A throughout lower sec. i only have 2 points for CCA and another 2 points if i get into LEP. but look, im not that upset, nor am i worrying about not getting into top-notches like VJ or TJ.
you won't be that disadvantage if you are from anywhere else other than RJC, but you will be truly disadvantaged if you don't have a decent As cert to boast of. -
Hope TS really can understand those people who got lesser point.

I was in your shoes once (although I'm not quite sure how stuff like CCA points work these days ) - although I did end up going to where I wanted to - and perhaps, it's fair to say I can sort of identify with what you're coming to terms with.
While you're justifiably concerned with the fact that not going to a reputable school would compromise your CV somewhat (let's face it : we do know, by and large, where most of Singapore's future scholars and leaders are picked from much as we want to believe in the meritocratic system the propagandists never fail to churn out) and affect your future prospects, you should perhaps realise such challenges are sort of endless (and by extension, making yourself feel needlessly miserable) if you do not keep a sense of perspective on things. Afterall, I'm still working on getting into a decent law school myself...(enjoy all the whining you want to do - rest assure you'd be whining again with regard to which college to apply to when you get your prelims/A level results )
