Previous names for the virus include human T-lymphotropic virus-III (HTLV-III), lymphadenopathy-associated virus (LAV), and AIDS-associated retrovirus (ARV).[1][2]
Infection with HIV occurs by the transfer of blood, semen, vaginal fluid, pre-ejaculate, or breast milk. Within these bodily fluids, HIV is present as both free virus particles and virus within infected immune cells. The three major routes of transmission are unprotected sexual intercourse, contaminated needles, and transmission from an infected mother to her baby at birth, or through breast milk. Screening of blood products for HIV in the developed world has largely eliminated transmission through blood transfusions or infected blood products in these countries.
HIV infection in humans is now pandemic. As of January 2006, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) and the World Health Organization (WHO) estimate that AIDS has killed more than 25 million people since it was first recognized on December 1, 1981, making it one of the most destructive pandemics in recorded history. In 2005 alone, AIDS claimed an estimated 2.4–3.3 million lives, of which more than 570,000 were children. It is estimated that about 0.6% of the world's living population is infected with HIV.[3] A third of these deaths are occurring in sub-Saharan Africa, retarding economic growth and increasing poverty.[4] According to current estimates, HIV is set to infect 90 million people in Africa, resulting in a minimum estimate of 18 million orphans.[5] Antiretroviral treatment reduces both the mortality and the morbidity of HIV infection, but routine access to antiretroviral medication is not available in all countries.[6]
HIV primarily infects vital cells in the human immune system such as helper T cells (specifically CD4+ T cells), macrophages and dendritic cells. HIV infection leads to low levels of CD4+ T cells through three main mechanisms: firstly, direct viral killing of infected cells; secondly, increased rates of apoptosis in infected cells; and thirdly, killing of infected CD4+ T cells by CD8 cytotoxic lymphocytes that recognize infected cells. When CD4+ T cell numbers decline below a critical level, cell-mediated immunity is lost, and the body becomes progressively more susceptible to opportunistic infections. If untreated, eventually most HIV-infected individuals develop AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome) and die; however about one in ten remain healthy for many years, with no noticeable symptoms.[7] Treatment with anti-retrovirals, where available, increases the life expectancy of people infected with HIV. It is hoped that current and future treatments may allow HIV-infected individuals to achieve a life expectancy approaching that of the general public (see Treatment). -

i also say IF the woman (pte part infection) who sit on the blood stain (lets assume is HIV), lydat cfm get HIV.
and alot of ppl got HIV oso dun say until dey pass to other ppl. im juz telling TS to tell the ger (might be TS herself) to wipe the toilet seat dry den sit on it to pee. best if got squatting type. den no need to worry -

Chances don't look that high especially if it's just a thin drop of blood which has somehow clotted. And even if that drop of blood happens to be concentrated enough and wet, the pte part in contact also have to be moist enough in order for the blood to be picked up by the body. All in all,
1. Chances of infection from a drop of blood through contact of the pte without wound really don't look that high.
2. If it's really just a drop of blood. The chances of the girl having contact with it previously for it to still exist on her 2nd visit to the toilet is really SLIM.
Like some have suggested, if it really bothers one... Pls go for a check up to be at ease and on the safe side.

Chance of being affected is extremely low.
Unless there is a cut/breakage of skin around the point of contact, the chance is almost minimal.
BTW, AIDS virus cannot survive long in the environment for long. It would probably perish even before the woman sat on the blood stain.

You can safely assume that she will not get AIDS. One German guy in Thailand purposely lured schoolgirls with money and had sex with them and as far as I know, none of the school girls got it.
The only sure way it seems it to inject infected blood into your blood stream.
Hepatitis 'B' is 1000 times more infectious than HIV and spread exactly the same way... if you do not have Hep 'B'.... chances are it is almost impossible for you to get AIDS.
Have sex use condoms. Unprotected Anal sex seems more risky. -

fact2: hiv transmit through blood stream- even if u have sex with a hiv+girl, not 100% will get infected. ur lj need to have open wound i.e small cut or wound due to abrasion(virgorous sex); the pu$$y also need to have open wound

hiv virus dies very quickly when exposed to air
u need contact wif open wound to transmit
even if u smear blood over her wadever, the blood doesnt go into any circulatory system since it doesnt flow inwards
so DONT WORRY
its a myth that HIV can be passed via toilet seats =)
heck even if HIV tainted blood splashes in ur eye, the chances of infection are very little
be relieved that ur GIRLFRIEND here wont be tainted
