Yeah, there are certainly still things I won't do. And I wouldn't say I live my life bravely. It's just that I dun spend so much time pondering over death.Originally posted by january:then i would like to ask does not fearing death help you to live your life bravely?

Thanks ommyoji, if you haven't posted this, I wouldn't know buddha himself had the same panic attack.Originally posted by ommyoji:january, sgquitter and soul_rage,
Actually, someone had the same panic attack one day some 5000 years ago. He went on to start a philosophy based on that, and spent the rest of his life on the project. Not only did he eventually come to terms with that idea that he will be gone forever someday, he even learned to embrace it. You may want to have a look at some of his ideas and see if you can get any answer there.

i quite sure most of us down here will still panic and feel lost for some time if we find out we are going to die soon.
its easy to say out what is the solution when we feel okay. but try really being calm when the thing strike you at that moment
Actually I have a hole in my heart, which means I might die sooner than anyone. So I dun really wanna be so afraid of dying, thinking of it also useless, because in the end of the day you still gonna die it's only a matter of time.Originally posted by january:but actually, it easier said than done. i quite sure u have a healthy body now, so its easy to say.

Maybe it's what I think, but it's dust to dust, ashes to ashes when we eventually have to die, we die. How many of us will actually be remembered, even if we are remembered how long will the world ever remember us. Only a few have achieve that out of trillions or more than that.
