the onli constant in life is change.. haha...
there are many factors that can make a person changed... they haf to adapt...
even beasts need to adapt to the environment...
so when friends ard a person changed... they muz adapt... due to peer pressure... once they fallen into the wrong circle of friends... especially at an age of ard 18... den the whole path will change drastically from "good to bad" (i put it as good and bad, so that it will be simpler) -
The media has played a big part with premarital sex among youths in Singapore perhaps but it is entirely different in most western countries. Since the 70s sex has been common among teens as much as it is now but only recently has the majority of teens in Singapore been sexually active. With regards to this thread, I personally find that the young people of today are generally more open (to sex etc.) as compared to their older siblings. Perhaps it is caused by the exposure to the various source of media i.e. in movies and dramas (such as Desperate housewives), it is not uncommon to see parts of a sex scenes or people treating sex as a casual matter. Also these days, sex is commercialised as a product and used to sell items ("sex sells", a term always used). Go to town and you'll notice that novelty condom shops are no longer rare sights. These are some of the things that were rare and would have been made a big hoo-ha during our parents' time.
As for your friend, I'm sorry to hear that. Like others have mentioned, people do change over time. Or perhaps her breakup from her ex-boyfriend and/or some other incidents could have triggered and impacted her so much that she lost that sense of 'self-worth' at that period of time, and thus did things like sleeping around (no offence). Nevertheless, it's time to show your true friendship and lend her your support!

i got a fre who is like that too.. she used to be such a gd ger.. a mum's gd daughter, a gd sister and a fre's best fre.. but then ever since she got into poly, she change totally.. she began to go clubbing, flirting with guys, self abusing, smoking, turn herself into a bi sexual.. it really sad to see her change like that.. as her close fre, there is nothing i can do except continously counselling her.. till now, she still haven change.. but she seems happier now than before.. maybe this is her character jus that last time when she was with us ( a bunch of guai kids), she did not potray another side of her..
we cun say that all singaporean gers behave liek this.. it all up to individual... but there are stil lots of guai gers in singapore.. -

it's a trend. that's just what people do. i mean, there are only so many things a group of people can do together without looking silly - with strangers. there are lots of things people do at clubs that they can't do elsewhere. just imagine a group of 30+ meeting up at macdonalds on friday nights after work, or try buying a drink for the girl at kfc...Originally posted by Eternal-fire:I just dun get the idea of clubbing.
