Nah pubs is pretty ok. Its mostly quiet, laid back, can order finger food and drinks, can talk cock, can watch soccer. Completely unlike clubs. yeah i also find the association of clubbers with being popular quite nonsensical. i think clubbing is a phase most ppl will tire of in their early or late 20s -

well its naive of me to think that she wouldnt have sex, but for me its shocking because i always picture her as the girl in secondary school.
but this may have happened because of lingering feelings with her ex, or so i thought, until oneday i went out with sec school pals for a gathering, i was walking with her in east coast, and she was telling me her escapades in clubs (i shall not elaborate), i was listening bewildered, what had possesed this once sweet girl?
then alchohol came, she started throwing herself at a guy. one of my good friends.
i took some of my friends who were more in contact with her aside, they said when they went clubbing with her once, she was dirty dancing with 2 guys at once, strangers.
and apparently she had went pretty far with that guy she was throwing herself at, at a chalet once held.
i slowly let it sink in, and the image of that girl i had once was destroyed no matter how i wanted to deny it.
so im wondering, are my friends right? are singapore girls like this? this is only one instance i admit, but she was the last i would expect that would be this way.and there i have other female friends like this too, perhaps i am too naive and this is the common thing?
or was i just holding some fantasy of her perfectness too much in my mind? -

With regards to this thread, I personally find that the young people of today are generally more open (to sex etc.) as compared to their older siblings. Perhaps it is caused by the exposure to the various source of media i.e. in movies and dramas (such as Desperate housewives), it is not uncommon to see parts of a sex scenes or people treating sex as a casual matter. Also these days, sex is commercialised as a product and used to sell items ("sex sells", a term always used). Go to town and you'll notice that novelty condom shops are no longer rare sights. These are some of the things that were rare and would have been made a big hoo-ha during our parents' time.
As for your friend, I'm sorry to hear that. Like others have mentioned, people do change over time. Or perhaps her breakup from her ex-boyfriend and/or some other incidents could have triggered and impacted her so much that she lost that sense of 'self-worth' at that period of time, and thus did things like sleeping around (no offence). Nevertheless, it's time to show your true friendship and lend her your support!
