Equality between genders

  if this is what we are striving for... then perhaps the gals can stop bringing up the guys should pay for everything, the guy should open the door for the gal... maybe shouldn't bring up "feng du" at all..
  dates should be on dutch basis etc,

  Haha, like this kind of narrow mindset, u sure cannot get a gf. Anyway be a gentleman lar, it does not hurt to treat a gal for din rite? And I think its nice helping people to open the door, not only for gals. Its a show of courtesy which i dun get to see it in singapore much often.

  Opening doors for girls....well, that's seems ok for me. But having to pay for a gal so that she can spend time with me, that's a no no. Well, my point of view.

  u see .. i'm student.. and attached.. she recently mentions abt how her younger sis's bf (who is a VERY RICH) buys her all the things and pays for everything.
  
  so i tell her that im' only a student.. as much as possible I would like to buy u dinner every friday nite at a very nice restaurant too! but i can only try and when my budget permits me to.. if that month i spend more.. then tat's it le.. i still have to eat wad..
  
  so she said" why i say this. i'm not complaining u don't.. just telling you abt this."

  i agrree w u abt the point tat it's couteousy.. I would do so for anyone too..
  
  just the point on calculative rite.. i'm not a calculative person.. dat's why i cannot stand calulativeness.. and so if one tries to calculate w me.. then i'll probabaly try to do 10 fold over on the person

  or could it be seeing things where there is actually nothing?
  
  could be just outright insecurity in yourself?
  
  like i said a while ago.. do some major introspection... be brutally honest with yourself and ask yourself the correct questions.. figure out what you are.. then you start to lean about yourself and if you think you don't like it, then you know exactly what to change..
