1st thing. check school rules see if its must wear or must have. and whether it must be lan yard or on person.
2nd got receipt for the fine or not. got records etc.
3rd, go to the dean or director office and demand to chck if the fine has been processed by them. and the money gone to them promptly. if not go call mo eo police for fruad.
finalyl go newspaper and complain lah

Last year my class kena by one group of lecturers doing spot checks class by class...those wearing slippers or lanyards got warning letter.and i thought SEG dun care wan...

Wearing lanyard during lecture is reasonable. To fine someone while he/she is having lunch is just too much! He was being fined when he was having his lunch break for not wearing it on his neck, despite having the lanyard with him.

I believe the $10 fine which he duly paid should be refunded. B'cos walk ard sch who want wear the dumb lanyard? wear for the sake of 10 bucks?!
I can understand that each lecturer has his/her duty to fine those without lanyards (during lectures or in lab areas), but can't they just pretend that they didn't see just for the sake of good relationship between them and the students?
I can't imagine them going round doing troublesome stuff and then get themselves HATED!
You could say wearing lanyards is for security reasons, but I don't see the effectiveness without the whole NYP students, staffs, cleaners, hawkers and visitors wearing them. Even AJC people come to NYP's food court for lunch!
Saying that it is to differentiate students from different courses, why do all lanyards for that same school looks the same? And since the lecturers can recognize them, why is there a need for lanyards? It will be good enough to even have it with you for identification purposes. -
