As far as I'd like to indulge in the many questionable points of this incident, like Quinsy's approach, the "imaginary" police report to the many "PMs" that sages like Kenashi said exist but never come to light; I try not to for neither this is my battle to fight nor I want to offer colored opinions.
I only ask everyone to take a step back, for we were not there to see with our own eyes. Even the supposing "victim" in this incident called for everyone to stop the witch hunt, who are the rest of you to interfere?
Some may proclaimed it is the in the name of honor; righteousness and community spirit, that they're still holding the sword. Then may I implore these people to stop. You may believe that damage had been done to the female "victim." Why subject her to the past?
As for myself, I choose to give Devil the benefit of doubt. Innocent until proven guilty and not the other way round. I wasn't there to witness what happened, I'm unfit to say who's right and wrong. It's most logical to stand on sensible grounds.
Devil hasn't got it easy, he was bashed and stepped on all this time. What if he were indeed innocent? Think of it from different angles, pals. Don't be sticks in the mud
And indeed if Devil were wrong, then he paid the price too.

Devil, it doesn't matter whether you are right or wrong. Public judgement is a hard thing to undo. You have spoken up, and they continue to stick to their opinion. No matter how many threads you have created on this issue, no matter how you said that you are feeling tired and sad, the truth and reality is, very few will sympathize with you. They will just take advantage of this situation to show how "heroic" they are and make you feel even worse by their replies.
So I think it is better for you to "disappear" for a while, maybe come back when things are better, or start anew with a new nick or something.
