She is not responsive in real life compared to online(MSN)

She is pretty quiet and does not joke as much as she is online.
I tried to be humorous-I crack the same type of jokes as I do online and she seemed amused but face to face,she did not as entertained.
The problem is she finds a few of my jokes corny/lame but she does not give me this impression when we chat online.
Well,at least I did make her laugh a number of times and there was a sustained block of conversation where we were teasing each other...and I thought "hell yeah,we we are finally getting somewhere"...but hell no,we started to be quiet again thereafter...(anyway,that was really fun man!the teasing part)
I also found out we dont have that many similar interests.
I am quite an outdoors person while she told me she dont like to sweat...
I think I am the type of person who prefer to do things together and talk rather than sit face to face over a cuppa at Starbucks... -

she can be an outgoing gal n wild online; but in real life, she may lead a normal life n quiet person.
so dun pin so much hope on gal u met online.

Meet them face to face only....suddenly they all shy.
But it may more often then not, is because I am ugly.

But it sometimes is funny.
You got onliners that claim that they like exercises. They go to gym often blah blah blah. And you meet them and they are this rolli polli kinda person.
Or you got gals telling you they love suntanning, that they always go do that with bikinis at Sentosa blah blah blah.... Then you meet a porcelein white looking gal?
The best description I got, was this female, who says shes a partygoer and bouncers in most pubs knows her. Always invite/push her up the bartops to do bartop dancing.
Well, invited her to a few places, but she always last minute cannot make it claiming family plans/dinner. So in the end. Those who made it to the party were the ones often seen partying and photographed at the bartop dancing on some of the local magazines.
And these people, the bouncers & bartenders calls out the names easily. -
Many forumites i met told me that I am very very different online and offline.. i guess it's bcos we tend to be more discreet in real life ba.

some people have double personality or rather; temperamental.

Wow,the girl u dated..she's like me.active in msn chatting but in real life..a quiet person. But nowadays i am trying to be as what i am in msn chatting.
And I too met a girl like u mentioned above. After i found out she's like that..i just decided not to meet her face to face anymore. Just online chatting will do. -

Msn talking is pretty subjective. thats why i don't prefer to speak so much on msn, its very difficult to know what the opposite side is really feeling. i prefer face to face, if there's something wrong with what you say, then you'll know you have to stop, but you cant do that on msn right? you will just rant on and on...

People tend to behave differently when they are on online chatting and when real face to face chatting. On online chatting, they tend to be more outspoken and more of themselves. Whereas when comes to face to face chatting, they will tend to become more self consious. However, it could also be that she prefer to chat with you online (as an online friend) than having face to face with you.
