why do you do that? friends, counselors and even the public are the ones that are given the role to salvage them out of the scrapyard.
what are they for? for show?
what will you do when you see someone attempting suicide? let him be? just shaking your head? making a "tsk tsk"?
yours is obvious. allowing them to die.
what is AA for? ask yourself.
is it for looks?
then why did jason had to take the initiative to handpick moderators himself, 3 out of hundreds?
Of course, Friends, counsellors, or even a random aiding hand from the public can salvage them out of the scrapyard.
But
do the person himself wants to be saved? No. I would not let them die, if they're attempting suicide in front of me. When someone around me have a problem, and one I can help with, I definitely would.
But when his or her mind is already dead, sometimes living is a torture.
I
WILL help, but a friend can only help so much.
If the person doesn't want to help himself, you can only save him so many times before he manages to kill himself.
