Should one think before commit in a relationship?

  Would a relationship last longer if one think carefully before commiting him/herself in the relationship? Or should we follow our heart?

  i dun think there's a sure way to say it'd last longer, but i guess it's something that we all should think about nevertheless...
  
  i've been in VERY fulfilling and loving relns that started off without thinking and in great deal of uncertainty... so there's no sure thing.. but it's the "correct" thing to do i guess..

  Yes... if not for anything else... at least show some consideration for the other party... Considering the worst case scenario... not everyone can take a break up that well... some will take years to recover...
  
  some fall in love with a carefree attitude... make or break, they can take it... some fall in love, thinking it is "happily ever after"... only to be rudely awakened when it is all over...
  
  Last but not least... think of yourself... post heartbreak can be a very trying time... you might have what it takes to pull you through, but do you want to go through the experience?

  Depends on what you want in a relationship.
  
  If you want it to last past marriage, then plan for long-term.
  
  If you are just in for the sweetness, then follow your heart.

  My heart is already there but whether I should accept him is what I am thinking.

  Yup, like me, I know I'll take years to recover. Love can make me weak at times.
