my gf who's from japan has been with me for 8 mths now, she has to returb to japan for 6 mths for her school stuff and she'll return back though.though we will keep in touch thru calls/msn, i fear for the worse as i've seen many r/s crumble cos of this.
we're really in love but how do u tink should i prepare so that our r/s doesnt gets into deep sh it?she's leaving mid august and will back by mid-end feb.
please help.

Get Skype and 2 microphones to plug into the computer. Stay in touch frequently and regularly. Have stuff to remember each other by at hand.

as they say, keep in touch thru email, msn, skype, microphone, webcam...uve been tgt for 8 mths le shld b can de la...hmm if u haf enuf money, call her for a few minutes when ur going to slp if ur at NS camp loh...buy the calling cards..

Long Distance Relationship is the evidence that will go against the theory of "Nothing is Impossible!". It will not work out, just my opinion. Even from malaysia also have problem already, dun talk about japan.

aw thanks..maybe i tinking of saving money to go to jap in dec..anybody know how muc roughly? and can tk leave frm ns like a week? she's leaving so soon

Dec? if on tour, it will be 2k - 3k. Free and easy would not be cheap also. I've just checked the prices for Singapore Airlines flights to Tokyo (I was presuming that'll be your destination) that are during your block leave, and right now they're $1100 - $1300. JAL and ANA tickets cost more. It's holiday season, so remember to book early! Long distance relationship, I discourage myself! If you have confidence go ahead to do all you can to keep the relationship going, the other party got to do her part as well.
My past long distance r/s was really a failure. I drag to go for another long distance r/s. -

6 mths is nothing. But you have to see long term whether she is willing to stay & work here. If not, then have to reconsider the r/s.
One of u has to make the sacrifice to relocate.
