What is a job? A job is a way to pay your bills and to buy things that you like. The lower level you are, the less pay you have, which in turns means you have less money to buy things that you like.Originally posted by Chris1988:i really don't know what i want in the future.
i mean after i graduate from poly, serve my NS, i don't know where to head next. with my current results i doubt i can enter a local U.
lets say if i were to get into the working force, i don't know what i want to work as or what i can work as. though many might say i don't have much of a choice as to the kind of job i want, but i still want to know what kind of jobs are available out there.
i don't really have an ideal job in mind either. someone pls help me out

i dont think there's any design job that has relaxed pace. everyone i know in design, from interior to architecture, graphic and fashion, all damn damn damn stress. everytime work over time, go home also do work. many many datelines.Originally posted by Chris1988:well guess certain advices did open things up for me a lil. well i guess i prefer working at a relaxed pace. i don't like to work in a rushed environment. i preferably would prefer something along the lines of planning.
well besides interior designing, any other jobs out there which would require you to draw and plan?
btw i'm going to graduate and am already halfway through my final year you don't expect me to quit my course now do you
just a question, do companies these days take more interest in your qualifications or your working experience?
Huh! life on earth on stage one, i thot me going into young adulthood will be in stage 4 liao, from baby, to children to teenage. So what is the next stage.Originally posted by XenStar:Half Life : Counter-Strike ah? =D
Just remember this when you are choosing what you want to be:
Do you really like this job?
And don't worry, money is not everything. There's a trend, the more money you earn, the more greedy you become, the more involved you will be in office politics, the more stressed you will become. Having a job paying about $2-$2.5k would be reasonable, since it is enough for you to live life comfortably and you will remain happy. (And play computer games! WoW cards require money marhh) Just don't ever do anything illegal for a quick buck! We all get judged in the end, life on Earth is just stage one![]()
Why dun u be a gaming programer? Can be millionair u know.Originally posted by Chris1988:hmmm a rather interesting analogy. you can link computer gaming with working life. impressive ha.

qualifications, normally diploma with work experience.Originally posted by Chris1988:ahhhh just what i would like to hear. at least there's someone to confirm with me about qualification issues. what was the job scope about by the way?
how's the fashion industry like in singapore? i mean besides being stressful. any prospect?

If work, it is no fun .... doing the same thing day in and day out. Monkeys also do the same thing day in and day out.
If play, it is fun. Playboys have variety. In and out not the same.
Don't worry too much about the uncertaincies that lies far ahead into the future. Focus on what's happening in the present and do your best.Originally posted by Chris1988:i really don't know what i want in the future.
