Hmm... so what is it thatz on ur mind? Something else that u'd rather be doing? If thatz the case... go do that "something else" but give urself a time limit... and promise urself that after that, u'll go study. While studying, when ur mind drifts away again, just give urself a time frame, say something - ok study for 1/2hr then go back do that "something else".Originally posted by kct360:

Heres an idea, but im not suggesting you ignore other advice, in fact only do this if all else fails....
FAIL YOUR PRELIMS BADLY!
Really im not joking.... when you fail, you look at your results, then think about what the hell you're gonna do in the future if your actual results are bad, what are you doing now 'O's/'A's? Bad 'O's, can chiak sai, or redo all over again. Bad 'A's, join poly after NS or redo As, either way wasted time, wasted money.
Then you experience the all encompassing disappointment of your parents and family...
I must stress this is Very RISKY, and you should only do this when all else fails but it worked for me
btw: Are you doing O or As?? -
If i were u i rather spend 1 hr cycling, come back and study than stoning the whole time in de hse nt doin anything...Starting is the hard part...but once u started, maintaing the momentum is easy....Haiz..still hav add maths and physics papers after the hols...Originally posted by kct360:hope it does...but with the time constrain.... -

IIRC, i got 36 for O prelims and 15 in the real thing... just 1-2 months of study...
math and sciences are really easy cos all the qns are the same, just do all your 10yr series and you should be fine. Prelims also tend to be about twice as hard as the real thing

Do up a time-table, should have at least what 5hrs of study on top of regular school hours? 7-9hrs on Sat and Sun(go out at nite, have some fun but don't get wasted). Worked for me...
My sis LEARNT EVERYTHING for her Law exam 2 months before the real thing, 0900-2300hrs everyday... graduated top of her class
Before you embark on trying to study, think of all that will happen should you fail.
The key is realising the ramnifications should you fail, and studying smart not hard. If you have a solid foundation in 1 subject, where you normally get As then let it slip a little but ONLY a little, and buck-up your weaker subs.
In a particular subject target the middle-grade subjects(you're not great at it, but at least you got the foundation sorted out). Then move on to your strongest topics and finally if you still have time, the weakest topics.
What sch are you from btw, got any JC affiliations? For eg. St Pats has CJC... cut 2 pts off me score

Sch hrs are what? 6am to 2pm? Reach home at 3? start work at 4-6, 8-10 after that your own free time... But you gotta stick to it though, otherwise no point in drawing up a time table. -
