This is cyber, different from the real world. I bet you can see at least one right on your MSN window now. agree with that on emos but... some people just don't like talking about their feelings and i know a lot of people who find it easier to open up over msn... if they're feeling down you might not notice it irl but if you start talkin to em online it's blatantly obvious... ya can't blanket cover people on this one or you ignore the people who really need help instead of just the ones who want attention.Originally posted by tykui:the world's a stage..ppl want attention..n the easiest way is to prey on ppl's sympathy.. Oh yeah I definitely see one on my MSN window right now (and it’s always the same person). Guess some folks do use their MSN nick as a “cry for help”. Everyone has things that they don’t really want to talk about… coz they can’t. Bottling up all that frustration/problems will just drive a person crazy so I suppose the could be using it as an outlet to vent as well. Hmmm… another thing I noticed about some folks I know is that ppl tend to have depressing blog entries while when I actually meet them irl, they seem fine and all. I did ask a girl once, why… to her, the blog is just for ranting, thinking & getting rid of all those negative thoughts. Doesn’t mean that she’ll actually break down into pieces just coz her entry implies so.Originally posted by coldzero:Have you ever wondered why people tend to be so cheerful and simple when you meet them, but whenever they're online or msging, they tend to be more emo, pessimestic, just like a different person. Anyway... I'm pretty guilty at placing "emo nicks" now and then too... though most oftenly they are just song lyrics![]()
i think every1 puts up a front in real life, as we all know that no one likes a person who is too emo or pessimistic; however, in this century where postmodernism and materialistic capitalism have easily invaded our culture, philosophy, mind set and most importantly emotions; whether we realize it or not, we truly are abused by the society in every sense of the word.Originally posted by coldzero:Have you ever wondered why people tend to be so cheerful and simple when you meet them, but whenever they're online or msging, they tend to be more emo, pessimestic, just like a different person. Welcome you to sgForums!Originally posted by Sacramentum:wow your discribtions really reminds me of me, i feel like your talking about me haha.
anyways i like to put those kind of nicks particularly "the world is againts me" kind because i like listening to music with consentratres on the flaws of humanity and how humanity has failed [i know its kinda wierd, so my friends tell me] so i just like to quote or put in my own words on some song that i kinda agree on just for fun.
my friend tells me im like a psycho lol.
ya i have abt the same situation as uOriginally posted by uglyguy:think its not double personality....
its more on "masks" we wear...
when i'm with my friends, i'm more open, slightly loud...
when i'm with my gf, i'm more loving, more protective, like to impart info to her
when i'm at home, i heck care, juz relax
i real life, i am shy, but people see me as out spoken.
its juz that we are different... online juz gives us a much bigger mask to cover ourself up so we can be something we are not.
its human nature
Ya, dun worry, it normal, I am a slack lover too, but once in love, i really go for it and love like hell.Originally posted by uglyguy:thats juz the way we are...
we're program to be different in different situation. one tat is a boss at work, may like to get dominated in the home...
thats why we should never judge a book by its cover.
don't worry about it, its natural.
i'm a big slacker... but when i work, i don't stop till its done.
